So rare to find a good Australian review with Australian measurements and material use. Well done. What I wanted to ask was how does this saw compare with an 184mm saw? I notice the 184mm saw has less motor power. I’m Deff a diy’er using it mostly around the house and on pallets and some treated timber from Bunnings etc for fencing chicken run, porch, steps etc … appreciate any comments

Thanks fore the comment. Donny know about the 184mm one, but this one is great, used it today, I am very happy with it.

I like that the blade is on the left side so that if you are right handed you can see it cutting. The majority of circular saws are the opposite hand and mean you have to lean over to see what’s going on.

Yes that makes a huge difference for right handed people. Unlike my Bosch corded saw that requires you to lean over the saw to watch the edge of the blade. 👍

Another one for the collection Mike nice work. Seems pretty good sounded like it cut though it pretty well. I’m invested in two brands of tools first started with Milwaukee 12v then got some ryobi 18v stuff and then some 18v Milwaukee gear. I have nothing bad to say about ryobi gear has served me well. It’s funny ryobi has some gear the Milwaukee doesn’t and Milwaukee has stuff ryobi doesn’t so I’m happy that I have two platforms to choose tools from. Like you I look after all my gear so it should serve me for many years to come.

Definitely worth looking after your tools, they cost a lot of money. I used to have a bit of Bosch gear, also 18V, had it for years, what annoys me is Bosch changed the batteries, then I lost interest in it. Cost lots of $$ and all of a sudden they use different batteries, very annoying. Ryobi seems to be the most readily available stuff now, and I have not had any issues with it, if anything it is surprisingly good.

@@MikesManCave Yeah to change battery's like that is purely a money grab from the company. Looking forward to see what you buy next for the collection 😂👍👍

@@Mick_Au I generally buy stuff when I need it for something, I would never have bought the circular saw and jig saw if I was at home, I would have just used my corded ones I have had for years, but it's a great excuse to get some new toys, erm I mean tools. We will see what we end up with next. I really want the radio to listen to some music while doing stuff.
