We'd just purchased (about 2 weeks ago) the dual roller sick vacuum and LOVE IT - we'd spent $400 for a Shark cordless that came with 1 battery and listed at (up to) 60 minutes of run time - that was total B.S. - you were _lucky_ to get 20 minutes (mostly on "eco") or 15 minutes on full power. Spare batteries were $80 and could only get them from Shark/Ninja - we've owned other corded Shark vacuums in the past (still have one) and they are decent for the price paid (usually under $130). Being fully into the Ryobi ecosystem the cordless stick vac was a no-brainer - my wife sometimes "forgets" to put stuff on a charger - that's no issue now since I just grab another 4ah battery and she's back in business.

That's why the Ryobi vacation are so popular. The battery is extremely easy and somewhat inexpensive to buy. Not to mention, they use the dame battery for every tool unless it's a 40v

I've been using the Ryobi PBLSV717K for about 18 months and it has been working fantastic. The fuzzy roller in the front is a total game changer. Unlike a Craftsman unit I had previously, this Ryobi can still stand up on its own. On a lot of these style of vacuums the self standing feature seems to be the first thing that fails.

Looks awesome! I got the Ridgid hand held vac a few months ago and what always frustrates me is no wall storage. NONE so all the pieces and parts are just lying around wherever I find a spot for them. I was also looking at the Kobalt and while it had a nice wall mount, I liked the Ridgid more. But dang that Ridgid is SO LOUD!!! And I'd love to be able to do wet and dry vacing with it. Ryobi seems to have nailed a number of pain points and I think you're right bro, everyone should be nervous.

I'm glad they are specifically targeting noise. I pawned my last Ryobi stick vac because everyone in the household said the pitch was too high and they'd rather use corded. So okay first attempt by Ryobi but if it doesn't get used..... I since got a refurbished Dyson V11 Animal. It is whisper quiet by comparison. So if Ryobi got one of those to benchmark it will really up their game.

I bought the pet stick during last year's Ryobi days and it's been a massive upgrade over the original stick vac, EXCEPT I miss the onboard charging that the original stick vac had. I got a Ryobi stick vac late last year. It's the one with the double rollers. It's great on tile and hardwood floors. The downside was the bracket to store it was garbage. I made my own bracket out of oak that not only looks way better but actually works. The other downside is, there was no storage on the vac for the brush and crevice tool. Besides that, good vac.

We've had problems with their stick vacs. First gen was just too loud. The gen before these are MUCH quieter, but the heads kept breaking and the long neck connects with plastic and broke as well. They did send us a replacement, I just worry about the ones with the thin necks, put a 9amp/hr battery on there and it puts too much weight at the top standing upright on its own, take the battery out when not in use! If that Wet/Dry one actually works well with the self clean for the head, that seems like a great idea.

I think that second vacuum exists also to have a lower center of gravity - one of the complaints about the existing stick is that it feels heavy in use because it is so top-loaded. The design miss is that they should have more black/grey with slight green accents for _all_ the 'interior' tools. These are going to be on the floor in the kitchen, which more likely than not isn't set up for complementary greenish-yellow colors.

I had the original evercharge stick vac and the dirt canister was super small, filter was small so had to be rinsed after every use. I then purchased the dual roller per stick vac when it was first released. I was upset it didn't have the wall charger as the original did but for the upgraded dual roller bars and larger canister, I succumbed. After regular use, I found the swivel of the head to be quite sloppy as in loose. It kinda flops from side to side when vacuuming requiring more effort to control the direction you are pushing the vacuum. Additionally, the air exiting the vac started smelling awful. I do not vacuum anything that would cause such an odor but it was not pleasant. I even bought new filters and empty after every job. Still has an unpleasant smell. With that being said, the new model fixes the wall charger and maybe the addition of the HEPA will take care of the smell. I do believe that Ryobi missed a opportunity to incorporate a multi flex shaft as the shark systems use. They are irreplaceable after you use them. They are what I use for my home. The Ryobi dual roller vac I have has been assigned to our guest suite. On now to the vacmop. Currently, Tineco pretty much owns the vacmop market. I purchased the cordless S5 a year ago and the battery wouldn't last to clean my entire home and the recharge took forever. I literally remember thinking why doesn't Ryobi make one of these, I could just change batteries and keep going. After all, Ryobi dabbles in everything. Not long after buying the Tineco S5, they released a corded steam vacmop. So, luckily I sold the S5 for what I bought it for given I purchased on black Friday and purchased the corded steam vacmop. It works wonders. I very well may purchase one of the Ryobi vacmops for quick jobs. Ryobi, if you are listening, please incorporate a multi flex shaft in your stick vac, don't do away with the wall charger, find a way to keep smell down, and adjust the swivel of the head so it is not so "floppy" for lack of better words. On the other hand, you guys are doing great innovative work and you keep pushing the bar. Well done!
@strangefire20249 ай бұрын
truly impressed with Ryobi in their constant product development. makes me glad that i invested in their system. now i'm looking forward to them developing a wet/dry/steam vac, similar to what Tineco has, which i am actually using right now. since its a steam vac, i think they may have to use the 40volt system though.

Me and my wife just got the animal stick vac with the handheld vac combo came with the four amp power battery. I think I ran the same battery in the handheld which just has on and off and then in the high powered mode in the actual vacuum and I think I got around 25 minutes, and from my understanding that actually compares very well to most of the other cordless stick vacs when you run them in high said that we have a Ryobi weedeater in which case last year during the Ryobi days we bought the 24 and six amp power battery packs so I’m basically using either two or just one in the six and one four which between the two gives me plenty

I know something RYOBI can make nobody has. 18 Volt Window Fan that has two fans and a LED Light and USB charger port. 40 Volt Window Fan that has 4 smaller fans, and two LED Lights with USB and one 110 AC volt outlet. They should work in a reversable way so they can blow in or blow out. They should have hinged louver slats that open (like a dryer vent) when the fans are running and they close when it shuts off, so mosquitos cannot enter. The hinged louver slats should be able to open inwards or open outwards. The hinged louver slats are only to keep insects out when the fans are not running. If they do not want to bother with hinged louver slats, then make them have removable and washable screens. They could also sell a stand mount so you can use them without being in a window. When I say Window Fan, I mean the Window Fans that have the pull-out sides, that fits in a window, and you lower the window on top of it. I would buy 4 of the 18-volt and 4 of the 40-volt window fans. I would pay $100 for the 18-volt window fans and $200 for the 40-volt window fans. We live in Florida, when there is a power outage, those would go in every window, some blowing out and some blowing in. We currently use window fans that run on 110 volts, but they do not have USB ports or LED Lights or a way to keep out the bugs. I can use my RYOBI 18-volt Inverters to run them, but the motors are not very energy efficient, and they run very slow, even on the fast setting. We have 4 RYOBY Inverters and also 4 HART Inverters. We also have an 8-Kilowatt battery bank and a 4-kilowatt battery bank with 40 solar panels. We also have a 10,000-watt dual fuel generator, a 3,500-watt dual fuel generator, a 3,500-watt generator, a 2,000-watt generator and a 980-watt two stroke generator.

The big design flaw I can see with the stick vacuum is that the head on this thing is HUGE which will make it hard to maneuver in tight areas. The Dyson I have had for years turns on a dime. Black & silver with some Hulk green accents is for sure the way to go. Milwaukee definitely sells more because red & black with lightning bolts is way cooler looking than the Bumblebee's & teal Fajita's. Guaranteed their sales would go up with that color scheme, and making the green a bit more neon or metallic, the current green is pretty ugly. They gotta know that...probably some marketing wizardry going on, might hurt the slightly better looking big brother Rigid & the super stud Milwaukee's sales if the #3 seed gets too sexy.

The head is too heavy and doesn’t maneuver easily around obstacles. The grip is not ergonomic and allows u to inadvertently turn the vacuum off with your grip hand while vacuuming. The new ones may be great but the past stick vacs are 5 out of 10 at best. The best feature is unlimited battery swapping.

They lost a lawsuit from a competitor because of patent issues, discontinued selling garage door opener’s at discontinued keeping the garage door app updated. This has left owners with openers that can’t operate using the phone app. And Home Depot knew this. The opener was $248 on sale for $98. Ask why the big discount told they just want to move them. Yeah you want to move them because Ryobi lost the lawsuit and is out of the garage door opener business.
