Bunnings supplied me with an alternative to the line wire by fitting hard plastic blades to it instead. They work a dream, far better than shown here and no bother with line replacement. It cuts and slashes down foot long buffalo grass and every weed imaginable. My only concern is sometimes I have problems stretching my hand over the battery to remove .. :/ arthritis, my fault not the trimmers I guess and this only happens occasionally on a bad day. I love mine, easy to carry and very efficient.

I've seen those blades in Bunnings. I guess eventually you have to replace them but they seem to be supplied with several blades to a replacement pack ?

I’ve had mine for about three or so years and still going really well. It lasts about 30 - 40 minutes and allows me to do my front and back yard which is a big area. I use a thicker cord in it which gives it a bit more punch.

Does the thicker cord attached easily ?

Had mine for 3 years now,does well for my sized yard and the job I need it for,I have 2 chargers and 2 batteries as I have a blower as well,this way fully charged I have 8 bars of charge,for both tools,this way I can share the power.
@pravinlal37658 ай бұрын
How long does the battery last before it needs to be recharged? Secondly how long does the battery last before it needs replacement?
@paulzullo4988 ай бұрын
@@pravinlal3765 the battery pack has 4 bars and I have an average sized yard,I only usually use half the power running it for around 45 mins stop and starting.in the 4 years I had it I have never yet had to change the battery.i like it bettercthen petrol,no fumes.i got a blower too and charger due to the blower consumes more power then the whipper snipper,this way I have 2 batteries so if I use one fully I can use the other.

Hi Simon, nice review mate. How is the unit 12 months later are you still using it? Also how long does it take to fully charge the battery from dead?
@simonnadjarian82624 жыл бұрын
I being using it about once every 2 months and still goes well. It normally takes about 35 mins to charge from flat. I have being using it out of the shed at random for about 5 to 15 mins each time and i think ive only charged the battery 3 times in those 12 months.

129 bucks . Is it brushless . Cause they are worth heaps now with a battery

A off topic question mate, we have similar yard, how u manage those free run hens back to coop during nights to avoid fox?
@simonnadjarian82623 жыл бұрын
They go back by themselves each night but i then close up the chook pen every night also which i put chicken wire all round from top to bottom so no fox can get in.
@HotStepper894 жыл бұрын
wow how was this only last year? they're currently selling it for $229 at bunnings 😱
@freebees14133 жыл бұрын
You must be looking at the brushless model which is far superior. This one is the kit with 2Ah battery seems to be $149 in bunnings now, I think it's good enough for a small yard low maintenance definitely want a thicker cord though.
@cosmicrdt3 жыл бұрын
@@freebees1413 no this exact model is $229 at my bunnings. The brush less is $219 without the battery (skin only).

@free bees The one reviewed looks like it has the 2.0 Ah Battery whereas the $229 Bunnings one now has a 5.0 Ah battery

Id rather spend abit more and buy the EGO
@harrycallahan95184 жыл бұрын
You mean spend double? Ego is in a different class altogether, up there with de walt. I get what you mean though the 18v units are almost a toy. I personally went for the 36v model but like he said for small weeds etc and on a budget it would be okay.

This head is a waste of money in Australia as the bump knob can not be purchased once it is worn out. You need to replace the complete head.

Mate it's a trimmer not a lawn mover. It would have been nice to actually see what it was designed for. Trimming edges and how well it does at that. Thanks for nothing!
