Ryobi One+ 18V inverter comparison

Each of these inverters is skookum within its operating limits.
The 120W RYi120AVNM is the cheapest and does double duty as a 12V inverter as well (provided the cigarette lighter cable hasn't done a bunk on you), but the 18V battery connector doesn't clip on to the battery and it likes to pop off when moved. It also doesn't have a utility light built in, which is only a problem when it's a problem.
The 150W RYi150BG has the advantage of clipping on to a battery and is thus more robust when moved in use, but it only works as a 18V inverter as there is no 12V provision. It can also have issues with the USB charger; not because of the charger per say, but cuz what you plug in thinks it can only charge at 200mA to 500mA.
The 120W/300W/800W RYi8030AVNM is the most beefiest of the lot, but also the most expensive. It does have a power meter, but it reads the total DC side load including converter losses. Bad for determining actual load power, but good iffen you want a realistic idea of what your battery drain is. There is no spec on the 12V cigarette lighter load rating, but I would rate it at around 3A to 5A max judging by the 12V converter componentry. There is a flickering issue on the 120V output, but only at very low loads. Not listed in the video is the ability of this inverter to fail over if one of the sources goes dead when used with an 18V battery and the 12V binding posts in the rear.
