I’ve had mine since 2019 as well and I’ve also had only awesome feedback. I used mine daily going through several batteries each day while commuting 5 daily hours on a train and it was a life saver. I left a battery and charger at work and would just rotate the one I used on the commute in then it would go home with me the next day. I hope more people read about the good experiences with this because when I saw ‘do not buy’ on the thumbnail of this video I had to watch the video and though I respect the very likely chance the reviewer got some bad luck lemons I wanted to vouch for this item in my own experience… this powered/charged my iphones, iPads, misc usb charge gadgets and started many a conversation when helping fellow commuters who were in a jam to charge their devices on the train. I tested the USB ports and off a full P107 I got 3375 mah. That is 16.875 watt hours, meaning it's about 60% efficient with the USB ports. I'll do a similar test with the outlet and update this reply The outlet was about 63% efficient. My kill-a-watt wasn't precise enough so I found the efficiency of one of my USB power bricks and then used that and the current from the USB doctor to find the efficiency of the inverter itself.

Sure this just chonks on, but functionally, i dont know how many devices commonly used require those extra 30 watts. Your gaming laptop idea is perhaps one that would need that extra wattage, but it still functions on lower wattage, as long as you keep activity low, and when you crank up the activity, it would run on battery i assume. But yea, i'm comparing the two right now to determine which one i would buy

My ryobi batteries die within a year - what's up with that?
@CTMKD4 жыл бұрын
You probably don't use them much and/or you leave it on the charger for a while. Just make sure that you get oem batteries. I have two batteries, p108 and p105 and they have lasted three years, work like new. Might just be variation in quality

I had two of the 1.5mAh batteries die on me over the last few years. I think it is from leaving them connected to the tools while not in use. The batteries are supposed to stop working when they've been drained to a certain point, but if they are drained further, the charger is not able to start charging and displays an error. I've seen some videos of some people drilling a whole into the battery and hardwiring a charger to "jump" the battery. Just don't keep your batteries connected when not using the tool.

Unless you have a grip of the batteries and don't mind spending the money, irs best to avoid. My experience may just be a bad one, tho.
