the UK instructions for adjusting the guide plate are...run the machine. then adjust the plate untill fine alloy shavings come off the plate....machine set... works every time.

Flip the box upside down and lift off the box lol. I did not know ryobi made those. I got one from sun joe in the US. Love it.

A great demonstration of the product best one online so far. I probably would get this one after watching it.

You literally did the one thing the box had a giant warning against. Good job. :P

Update : broken adjusting plate : i fixed it (temporary) with a simple bolt. The plate broke on the point where screw touch that plate for adjusting, with a bolt i could make the surface bigger, so it can control the adjusting plate. But i think it a serious construction error. When my work in the garden is done, i am going to make a steel adjusting plate.

@KahlilAngeles5 жыл бұрын
hello have you tried banana stems? that were cut small enough so they can be fed the the machine?
@christophersmallbone61016 жыл бұрын
OK so a lot quieter than most but hardly silent as the name claims. In general I like Ryobi stuff the sanders and drills are good for a cheap range product. in the UK available at Bunnings and Home base.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL The Bunnings parent company Wesfarmers bought the UK DIY store Homebase for £340 million UK pounds it then relaunched the first 24 of the 152 Homebase shops as Bunnings and it was a total disaster. having lost in excess of £230 million UK pounds they then sold the 152 stores to a UK investment company for just £1 and are no longer in the UK market.

I think it would, but just remember it can only cut stuff with a diameter of less than 45mm. Merry Xmas!

Are there ANY mulchers or wood chippers on the market that aren't hugely underwhelming? I swear to god in the last ten or twenty years our tool technology has gone backwards as costs have dropped.

Hey mate, I’m planning on getting this and was also looking at the Morrison shredder from Mitre10. Still going well?
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL2 жыл бұрын
It is but you have to know it's limitations. I do use it every week however. I have made a couple of little mods to it. I don't think they sell this particular model anymore, so I don't know what the new one is like.

I read they wont do bamboo and they wont do long fiber green branches...they have to be dried out.
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL7 жыл бұрын
Yeah not great with bamboo. Pulverizes it but does not chop it into nice little pieces. It takes some experimenting to see which plants it does better green, or dried out. Overall once you have the blades dialed in just right it is very good, quick, and quiet.

This looks too complicated to get it right. The automatic feed is very good. But the shredding is not great.

Do you think this could shred aluminium cans without hassle? Cheers.
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL5 жыл бұрын
I will try it today as I have some shredding to do. Why do you want to shred cans? And how shredded do you want them?
@thecrookedsniper12175 жыл бұрын
Tools & Stuff I want to melt them down into ingots, my crucible is a bit too small for whole cans. Chip size - anywhere from 1cm to 4cm would be ideal. Thanks mate! 🍻

Where did you buy that I can't find it in the us
@antraciet7 жыл бұрын
Very good, and don't buy that thing. I bought it, and for the 2nf time the adjusting plate broke. Clearly there is a construction error on that aluminum plate. I have warranty, yes, but i don't bother them anymore. Maybe i fix it with a steel plate or something.

Why are all these shredders and mulchers so bloody substandard? Even the one grand ones have output that looks like a eighty buck chinese knock off. Fuck it, I'm building my own. I'll use a grate so that anything that doesn't shred well will go into fire kindling, the rest will go into the compost and back on the yard.
