I just ordered myself the 18V one, before seeing any video-reviews. Then, the first video i saw ended up being negative to the thing and i was like "oh maaan...". Thankfully i came to your videos, and it seems to work for you, so i should be able to use it as well. I have been using a "Fiskars Mover" for a week now, my snow pile is taller than me, and it is still snowing! :D Happy new year from Trondheim, Norway. Edit to add: I thought that i would possibly 3d-print something to direct the snow a bit to one side, and also maybe add some wheels to it... Time will tell if i end up doing any of that. Have you considered any modding, or just had thoughts on what would make it (the 18V version) better, @ToolSpecs?

@janern82 Happy new year! Fins to direct the snow would definitely be a improvement, like the compagny EGO does to their snow shovel. As for the wheel, I personally wouldn't install any. I have the 40v version as well and most of the time I find the wheels behing in the way but I leave them on cause this machine is heavier. Send me pictures or videos of any mods you do, I'd like to see them. My email is in channel description.

Does Ryobi have a power brush???

@SolarizeYourLife yes but it's design to clean the patio. Idk if it would work in snow.

The 18v sounds so much quieter than the 40v shovel, and it looked to perform better than the 40v low speed.

@brianbuchanan9961 I actually prefer the 18v because it's way lighter and perform very similar than the 40v. For the cost difference the 40v one is not worth it, unless you don't own 18v batteries

Awesome!

@jamnorge I personally like the 18v shovel more then the 40v one because it's not as heavy to lift in deep snow

So... i choose to buy the wrong one (40v), because the wheels. it's heavy, and the wheels are way too small. from your test, the 18v one push the snow farther, and is lighter to use. did you test the 40v one at low or high speed ? je suis déçu du 40v, je l'avais choisi à cause des roues, et je le supposais plus performant que le 18v.

Sadly my snow is almost always wet. Rarely a nice dry powder.

You should watch my video about the 18v snow shovel vs slush I did last winter, it's very impressive how great it worked.

Single stage machines excel in slush or wet mucky snow. I do not know about these in particular as I have 2 different brands but because they just pick and throw in one motion, they rarely clog and are easy to clear if they do.
