Situations like this are why I like DTO for “factory blemished” but not for refurbs. I’ve only bought one refurb tool there (an 18v heat gun), and that worked fine, but I’ve heard a lot of stories like this about people getting mitre saws just loose in a big box with things broken. Factory blemished is fine, lots of success with that. Good luck getting this sorted out!

You make a good point. I have certainly had a great deal of luck with the "factory blemished" items at DTO but I have also heard about those horror stories about the refurbished tools. Now I've got my own stories to share! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience as well!

Sorry to see that the store made the same mistake. Dropping the ball on a simple battery, twice, just shows that there needs to be some training provided at direct tools online
