Same recipe with music : • SIMIT - Turkish Bagel ...

Ingredients:
For the dough :
600g flour
230ml oat milk
150ml warm water
30g oil
1 tbsp sweetener
1 tsp salt
1 tsp(5g) dried yeast
2 tbsp Molasses
2 tbsp Water
1 cup toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. place warm water, dried yeast and sweetener in a small bowl and let it activate for 5 minutes.
2. combine all the ingredients for the dough, knead well.
3. wait until it doubles in volume in room temperature.
4. divide the dough into 4 - 6 pieces. shape the dough into twisted Turkish bagel shape.
5. spread molasses over the surface and dip them into sesame seeds.
6. bake at 200C/392F for 30 minutes.
7. Enjoy!

「材料」
強力粉 600g
オートミルク 230ml
ぬるま湯 150ml
オイル 30g
甘味料 大さじ1
塩 小さじ1
ドライイースト 5g
モラセス 大さじ2
水 大さじ2
白炒りごま 1カップ
「作り方」
1、ドライイースト、ぬるま湯、甘味料を混ぜ合わせ、5分ほど予備発酵させます。
2、ベーグル生地の材料を全て混ぜ合わせ、ごねます。いや、捏ねます。
3、2倍に膨らむまで一次発酵させます。
4、生地を4〜6つに分割し、ターキッシュベーグルの編み編みベーグル型に成形します。
5、モラセスと水を混ぜ合わせたものをベーグル表面全体に塗り、ゴマを全体に付けます。
6、200℃で30分焼いたら出来上がり!
7、エンジョーイ!

your simits came out perfectly! i can't believe how you shaped them that well. even very experienced turkish home cooks don't bother to make simit at home since it's a very accessible street food because it is actually hard to shape the dough. thanks for sharing the video. i'd LOVE to see you making more turkish food!!

He explained this before. He uses an electric scale and measures the whole bag of flour and then pours and measures it again to see if he poured the correct amount.

Berger obviously I can’t speak for everyone, but it’s a bread I grew up with. What makes it the best bread is the nostalgia that comes from eating it. Everyone is different and can name bread they think is the best, it really depends on what the bread means to u ❤️

I'm a Turkish home cook but I never make "simit" at home. Really nice video & recipe. You can make with more roasted sesame nearly burned for best flavor.

The way you knead and shape the dough is simply exquisite. I tried making a focaccia video a while back and gave up cos my cinematography just wasn’t appealing enough xD

it was a very precious video and an experience, I mean, not just for making a "simit" and filming it, very lovely photography and frame supported by low focus diametre in a very correct way. This video wasn't just a usual bakery video, it was very successful for aesthetics. A tremendously successful example is for "less is more" motto.

eldel yes I know but sometimes my mother makes homemade simit with sucuk cheese and other ingredients. I forgot about the simit in turkey because I live in the netherlands. I am gonna change my comment I know how simit taste but I forgot that it was vegan😂😂

If you put a silicone mat, a kitchen towel, or a damp kitchen paper under your cutting board it will stay in place, won’t move around.

he made the bakery version not the street version we call as 'ankara simiti' which is thinner and harder and with no sweetener since its sweetness comes from the pekmez which is (i learned it know) molasses. But this version is also ok and looks delicious.

ah this is so nice, i've never heard of simits before, but this video makes me want to try them !! i love the range of cuisines that you make recipes from, would you ever consider making some kind of lebanese food? i've been trying to find a good recipe for vegan kibbeh, or vegan fattet hummus or batinjan might just kill me haha. but whatever videos you decide to make, i always know that they'll inspire me and make me smile !!

Hey, I love your videos! I've never eaten this type of bread before, but I am sure excited to try making it. A little tip, if you like to knead dough on your cutting board instead of the countertop (I understand it requires a lot of sanitation) try using a wet paper towel placed flat underneath the cutting board. This will help it to stop sliding, meaning you can use your full weight in kneading. 😊👍
