While the Harbinger barrel is pretty bad in MP or WZ, I recommend it for those who play Spec Ops since there's so many enemies and ADS speed is not as important in this mode.

As much as I want another one, after seeing the buffs to the Kar98k, its becoming clearer that infinity ward want the marksman rifles to be used for quickscoping and sniper rifles for long range engagements(I hate this btw). I think it's on purpose, it makes the gun a lot easier to get hits with when you're not thinking about bullet drop, and the bullet hitting above the crosshair at close range isn't an issue as aiming for the torso is still a 1 hit kill in core MP.

One thing I noticed over the weekend: when using the explosive or thermite rounds you DO NOT gain any weapon XP when killing players. The only weapon XP you get with the special ammo is from destroying killstreaks. (Not sure if it's patched yet)

I run this sniper as a fun gun - Dictator barrel, Tac Laser, STOVL Tac-wrap stock, Stippled grip, and Explosive rounds. Very satisfying in the typical mosh pit games

Are you sure about the Hipfire? The Crosshair visible spread IS larger, but did you do testing on actually firing the weapon with hipfire? It might be bugged because I've landed so many hipfire no scope shots with the rytec AMR than I have with any other sniper. If you actually stand still and fire all five shots they are pretty centered, it's crazy. They have like a 1inch spread.

It has to do with the way shots are spread across the hipfire cone: mathematically, they're biased towards the center of your cone as opposed to the edges. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it means that as long as you center the reticle on a target you're more likely to land shots than miss them.

@@IStarryZz put on the barrel that adds bullet velocity, because when stock, it is pretty slow. With the suppressor and longer barrel the velocity is perfect, should fix it.

I would really consider the XRK Mastadon stock for your warzone loadout. It almost eliminates any sway, which in turn all but eliminates the problem of the weapon not resettling. You can acquire targets fast enough to make the fire rate worth it.

The AMR is actually based on the Barrett XM109 in 25 x 59 mm. It's the M82 pattern that goes back to MW1 but on steroids. It's arguably the farthest they can go with the anti-materiel-used-for-anti-personnel dichotomy that started with the M82 in MW1.

I'm actually really happy with this new edition. If you can read a small map well this thing shreds, and with an MP5 on your back with amped it's actually kind of broken. I was eviscerating lobbies with this combo last night with a lot more sniper kills than you might think because this thing is the KING of lanes. I'm super excited for the headshots to get patched so I can try it out in Warzone.

I actually got the gun gold yesterday and from what I've seen it's actually really good for people who like using specialist and want to snipe cuz it's more forgiving then the ax and when u get the specialist bonus u get weapon perks that are really really useful on this gun. (Especially since everyone runs focus)

It boosts the thermite rounds, but it seems the Explosive rounds are bugged. Explosive rounds don't benefit from weapon perks and also tend to not properly apply experience to the weapon.

I think thermal rounds and explosives aren’t as strong as actual lethal thermite and explosive c4 or any other explosive, an actual thermite if your stuck w it and you have eod you’ll die eod helps against thermite & Molotov but it’s not as helpful he has a video about eod, I’ve been using eod for as long as I can remember and I can tell you this, it’s the best 1st category perk you can choose from

I think this is the best gun in the game. The attachment buffs allow you to make this whatever you want. And the explosive rounds add an extra layer to its versatility. I love the gun and other than the headshots being glitched for now this gun is epic on all levels.

You seem to get full accuracy really early in the ads animation. Been using similar setup to the first one recommended (sometimes with the other ammo just for the fun of it)and if target is centred you can fire pretty much straight after pressing aim before the animation is anywhere near over and nail it. Feels like almost like no-scoping you can shoot so early.

This gun needs a bullet velocity buff. If u equip short barrel, the gun feels like a semiauto crossbow. Even the short barrel ax50 has higher bullet velocity than the standar AMR (without short barrel)

@Commenting Channel Counterpoint, the recoil is so incredibly high that you can usually only follow up barely faster than the AX-50 unless you use one of the long barrels and a muzzle (if equip-able.) Buffing bullet velocity makes perfect sense to make it shine at long range without making it too fast or good compared to the other snipers. It already has a shit ton of other weaknesses.

People saying that 1 shot headshot is bugged I don't really think so It has a higher fire rate than other snipers much like how the dragunov doesn't 1 shot headshot it's all about balance not realism

It's pretty cool that it's 2 different Barrett AMRs in one. Starts as a .50cal M107, and converts into the .98cal XM109. You don't really get to see that 25mm monster in a lot of games.

I got this sniper gold first day it came out. Idk why, but for some reason using a super beefy range setup with explosive rounds is really good feeling for Warzone. You can get 1 shot downs (with the added explosive damage) with it in the 1 shot range, even if they have full armor.

I recommend using this setup for MP - FTAC 448 DICTATOR - TAC LASER - STOVL TAC-WRAP - EXPLOSIVE MAG - STIPPLED GRIP TAPE ADS is similar to the one with the VLK and the explosive round makes sure is one hit kill no matter where the shot lands on the body.

Got mine Gold in a few hours this morning. I mainly used the Stippled grip tape, Stovl TAC wrap and the tank break . Keeping it simple worked for me . Anybody else finding that they can't save a load out for this in their armory?

I just want to say that I have a fun time with the harbinger barrel, I use it agressivley because of that recoil conrtol, and the range reduction kind of forces you to use it at closer ranges, I just pair it with the tac laser, stippled grip and vlk, and either run ammo conversion or sleight of hand, and I have tonnes of fun with it, and the ads isn't that painful either

Cobalt Cards & Gaming oh that might be the case, but it also might not be intended (hopefully it’s not)either or it’s a glitch, your analogy is definitely great, I wish I could be as good as you are w analogy b/c it would help to make people understand what I’m trying to talk about, Why I think it’s not intended & or a glitch 2xp weekend has been in the game for a while now, back when the game released it would come out every weekend, Friday to Sunday & it worked as normal, you would get 2xp for battle pass, weapons and level, they stuck w it every week untill warzone came out, once warzone came they weren’t doing it every week like they used to do, it would be rare to get 2xp week after warzone released, I don’t know why but mp after warzone definitely received less love from the devs, I do think it’s a glitch that will get fixed b/c they’ve never done it before, unless they just want people to think there is 2xp just so that more people can keep playing the game, I think if they did it on purpose then that’s the reason why, to keep people playing the game and to think they have 2xp is a very good way of having them grind guns to be max which does take about a couple hours sometimes

Being the designated vehicle buster on my warzone squad I'm kinda excited to try this one out, hoping they buff up the vehicle damage a bit, 4 shots to kill the tac rover is plenty of time for them to drive around a corner and take cover compared to a single Strela shot, I was hoping it would be 2 or maybe 3 shots to blow up the rover with FMJ+HE rounds. Will keep trying it out and hopefully it turns out good because I'm tired of picking nothing up from second loadouts and this seems like a good option if it can compete with launchers at dealing with vehicles.

I noticed a stealth change in the crossbow explosive bolts. They don't do near as much damage to kill streaks anymore, it took me about 7 bolts to kill a vtol when it used to be just 3.
