The problem is that the ISO’s first shot recoil pretty much ruins its ranged potential, so you’ve got a SMG that punishes you for not hitting center mass and up and isn’t really viable at a distance. If you want CQC power, why not pack a MP7, and if you’d rather be better at a distance, why not take the M13?

I don't think it's bad gun by any means I've got gold on almost every SMG so this one coming out ihave to get gold on it so I've grinded it a lot long shot mounting etc and I don't think it's the worst gun it's not grey or anything to write home about but it's not awful it just depends on what you're after insurance slightly worse but I really think at least for me me that's negligible

I feel that this would actually be a decent weapon if they added a 10 mm conversion (or some conversion that takes away the limb penalties, or increases the range by about 25%. That combined with the nightshade barrel could give it a great place in the game, in my opinion. The way I see it, they won’t change the base fire rate or damage, so perhaps adding a conversion kit can increase its effectiveness (like in the case of the AK, MP5, or Uzi). If it’s going to be comparable to the P90, then perhaps make it unique by swapping ttk for more range

The range is already good. If more is increased then it would take the place of the striker 45 as the smg with the most range. The point of this gun is to be a fast firing gun but with good range. But because it tries to be good at multiple things it becomes not very good. The vlk rougue shotgun is a example of this. It tries to be the middle ground between the r9-0 and the origin.

Lol 10% movement speed decrease this has to be a bug Edit: The base gun has 20 rounds with the 30 round extended magazine a 1.5% movement speed decrease is added witch would mean that the 50 round extended magazine should only give 4.5% movement speed decrease not a 10%

What's stopping people from just using mp5 or mp7? I think IW has a thing with just slapping as much drum mags into guns as they can and make using it such a hassle. The 60 round mag for mp7 only has a 4% ms decrease(based on ace's vid a long time ago). I don't understand why they would release a gun like this and make it's stats sub par.

Ak 75 round drum mag also has 9 or 10 % ms penalty which makes in unusable in warzone and nobody complains about that xD

Panda because it’s 75 rounds in a gun that shoots very slow, this gun shoots fast and has a 50 round mag that punishes it severely.

No player feedback for a gun they've kept in the devbox. Honestly, it seems pointless releasing this when the Fennec/Vector already is in the game. They should max out the movement speed (I mean, look at the size of it) and maybe give it a slight damage buff so that it can three hit to upper torso within 10-15m

How the ISO stats were made: IW: the pre buff M13 was trash, so adding a 4 shot kill range and better mobility would make it better. To balance that out, we just hurt the recoil, lower the mag capacity, hinder the mobility of extended mags attached, and make it the slowest killing smg in the game. Done. Balanced

I personally love this gun and I treat it like an assault rifle with 50 rounds and the corp combat holo sight with blue dot and just tear people up no matter what map. Plus using dead silence and the nightshade barrel makes sneaking up on people a breeze

It’s basically just a matter of preference and play style. Some people love using the Kar98k but I’m hesitant to use it because of the slow rechamber speed. Especially when I have an extreme run-and-gun play style.

They should give the 30 round mag by default for this weapon, while scrapping the 20 round mag and alter it to a 40 round mag. Also it needs 20/80 reserve ammo. If you run something other than the M19 or Renetti, you'll probably be out of ammo at 6 kills into a streak.

I actually really like the ISO. I've temporarily swapped it in to my MP5 setup and My MP7 Shipment setup and I'm enjoying it. I love that Nighshade barrel. It surprises me how well it does as an Assault rifle, whilst still keeping some of the benefits of an SMG (depending on the other attachments). It's a win for me.

It would've been nice to see the recoil with those recommended classes, since there's now multiple attachments affecting it. I assume that first shot jump is severely mitigated with the nightshade and merc foregrip, but your visuals help so much more than just me testing it out in multi. Especially since the ISO isn't in the COD Modem Warfare Wiki app yet (my favorite place to do gun comparisons)

if anyone is curious, the current ISO after its buff has a base 4 shot kill range of 17m, revolution barrel will increase it to 23.5m and 24.4m for the Nightshade barrel(this one is a lil disappointing cause it's not a 45% increase like what Ace has stated here)

This gun has such a comfortable spray pattern that i dont mind the downsides, to me it has been super reliable, and getting HS has been really nice... However no stock mp7 is too good, so idk.

May I have a reccomendation. When you are going to include gameplay along with two different loadouts, put clearly identifiable skins on them (like the red and blue tiger, but obviously those would require a bit more playtime with the gun, so whatever works), so that all throughout the video we can clearly know which loadout you are using for that clip to have a better feel for if that's the route we want to go with it. Just a thought! Love your videos, keep up the hard work!

i dont really see the point of this gun either but what would the point of an intervention be? we already have 3 bolt actions (and a lever action) and another one coming mid season. like, if they added it it would just be a slightly different ax50 or hdr, which you could probably already achieve with existing attachments. idk why everyone gripes in the comments about lack of snipers in this game, there’s so many they created a new category to split them up a bit. the dmr category is just sniper rifles with faster stats/less damage and access to lower magnified sights. i just wish they would add more unique and interesting weapons in any category that feel different than any other weapons, eg an94, renetti burst, rytec, mk9 60 mag. the iso sucks because it’s stats are awful but also because it doesnt bring anything new to the game. the intervention would also probably bring nothing to the game. i think it would be cool as an ax50 blueprint tho for the people that like the look of it.

They keep adding SMGs and ARs. They really should just add more weapons in the other weapon groups. The intervention or the R700 would’ve helped the Sniper/Marksman category or they could also add a decent secondary or even a new shotgun. Nobody touches the shotguns so a good new shotgun would help shake up the AR/SMG meta.

Mingue Kwak the r700 design predates the vietnam war and is based off the mauser (kar98) design. both designs have been modernized since, see the synthetic stock versions of the kar98, but are functionally extremely similar guns. i think the r700 usually fires a slightly weaker bullet too even. so i’m not sure what your point is. modernized mosin nagant rifles are pretty common in recent conflicts. but i really hope the r700 is interesting, maybe fits in the balance as something between kar98 speed and the ax50 damage. youre right that there isn’t much unique weapons but i’m just saying, there’s no need for another bolt action. in a month we’ll have 5 the cover the spectrum of fast but low damage/velocity mk 2 to slow but high damage/velocity hdr.

Based off of the B&T APC-9g, this version has a lower receiver meant to accept glock mags. It would've been cool if they had the option in the gunsmith to kit it like the regular APC-9 pro though, I like the look of the APC-9 with the base B&T lower

I use the nightshade, the 50 round drum, the ftac elite, and the collapsible. Mobility downsides are negated and you get all the range buffs with an aggressive mag size for taking on multiple opponents.

I would make the 30 round mag standard while the 20 round is an attachment to increase movement speed (like how they did the 10 round mags on the SKS). I think that would help the ISO a little. Would free up an attachment spot on most classes.

I have no idea why but I have such good luck with this gun. I feel like it kills faster than the MP7 even though it doesn't. When it's kitted it's definitely slower but I don't mind that. Clearly I'm one of the few though lol

Interestingly, this things stats could make for an interesting 'PDW' - a close-range SMG as part of an Overkill Loadout in Warzone. Nightshade Barrel, 50-Rounders, 5mW Laser, ISO Collapsible and Merc Foregrip could probably make for a deadly dedicated-hipfire close-range finisher. It's main drawback would be the huge ADS, but if you're never ADsing in the first place...

@@AshenOne742 They each have their advantages - MP5 has better damage per individual projectile but this has a bigger mag, reloads fast enough that it doesn't need Sleight of Hand, and has tighter hipfire.

I maxed out my ISO last night, a great combo for attachments that I used was the Muzzle Break & Commando Foregrip. It helps with stabilisation a whole bunch

For your second suggested class setup, i think it's better to use the stippled grip instead of slight of hand since the gun have already a fast reload to have more ADS speed since we are using the nightshade barrel

I love this gun. I use the no stock, nightshade barrel, 30/50 round mags, sleight of hand and a gi mini reflex. this thing isn’t bad at all with these attachments

They need to do something to it to make it worth the while. I’m still just using the MP 5, or 7. Even after the Fenec, and the ISO. I was hoping the ISO was gonna have a huge mobility buff because in real life outside of the MP7 it is the lightest of all SMG‘s currently in game at 5 pounds, and the MP7 weighing in at 4.2 pounds. MP5 6.8 pounds P90 5.6 pounds Uzi 9 pounds Vector 6 pound This weapon with a sleight buff to movement, and maybe some better recoil control could make it a flanking beast, but no. Guess I’ll have to keep using the MP5 with it‘s ungodly suppressor mod that just turns it into a monster sub that’ll eat any, and everyone’s soul with no deficit to movement even though the weight is the second highest of all smg‘s, and it’s also one of the oldest designs which doesn’t mean much except that the P90 really should perform better as well as the MP7 just because of their superior ammunition. Don’t become a gun nut. Because this shit will piss you off. I get it, it’s the MP5, but GAHWD DAUMN it’s not that good. I’ve shot the ISO in real life, and it’s way more manageable than the MP5. People forget how large the MP5 actually is.

Best way to get Headshots for the ISO is just play hardcore and aim for the chest. The first shot will hit chest and the recoil will bounce up to the head, making the second shot hit the head.

I think ISO is a weapon between SMG and assault rifle. It has a decent shorter ttk than the most of assault rifles. And the fire rate is quite fast so it has more tolerance than some short ttk rifles like AK 74, Galil, Scar and Famas. Besides, ISO is really an accurate gun so it can take advantage from a longer range against SMGs. It is a very interesting design, a range balanced weapon.

Okay so my "main" gun at the moment is a cmax with no stock, fast hands, merc grip, one of the long barrels, and the stippled grip. I love that gun. Basicly no recoil, range is as good as my eyes can see, and its damage output feels consistant with every encounter im in. Before i even thought of looking up this video i tried out the iso and went from getting 20 kills, plus or minus 5, with an average of 5 to 15 deaths to getting the same number of kills with a max of 7 deaths with no attachments (just unlocked the 30 round mag). I think it has something to do with that first round recoil. If you panic flick to the torso, that recoil sends you straight to the head. If you can manage recoil even decently then every shot, but the first, is a headshot but even then the math doesn't add up. I swear im not good like im just some average joe.

Personally, I love this gun. I know the stats tell a different story, but I've been raking with this gun and already have it gold. It just feels so accurate and I can get the multiple headshots easily. Plus, I really like the ironsights so it makes it easier to pick attachments when I don't need a sight, although this gun with the VLK is a monster too.

The one thing I always wonder is how many attachments you can stack before they become irrelevant. It seems like for example in downside speed, some guns you can use several attachments whereas others if you use more than two you're wasting your space. It'd be so nice if there was a chart or something
