Rebuilt my titan a few months ago and couldn't find a video like this anywhere! THANKS SO MUCH! This is gonna be very helpful when I once again inevitably ruin the engine wrecklessly

I’m with you, Ry! Keep up the good work. People who have never torn down a real, live engine (that they’ll have to put back together!) will never know the fear getting this deep into it can create. Yikes! I Admire your courage. Can’t wait to see the smile of satisfaction when you crank it and it catches and purrs. Nothing like it!

Thank you for those videos you’re making for every body, I really appreciate your help, I have a question I have Nissan Armada and sometimes it doesn’t start right away and I’m sure it’s not the starter do you have any idea what could be?

Why does it not matter that your timing sprockets skipped? How could I prevent mine from skipping? Im doing a timing job and head gaskets, no new cams. For anyone with a VVT vk56, there are bolts hidden behind the cam covers. (I found that out the hard way.) Your videos have been insanely helpful and are very well done.

Hey man .... I been watching your videos but when I did the timing chain didn't came out right any help .... Thanks

Where can I get this puller? And can you provide a part number

So you have to take off the upper oil pan to do a head gasket change

No you don't. But oh have to take off the front cover.

Do you know where the VVT solenoid is located on the 2005 Nissan Titan?
@Rythecarguy2 ай бұрын
There is not one on at 2005 Titan. These were not VVT.

How many miles are on that engine , there sure is a lot of varnish built up it must have had looooog oil change intervals. I did the timing chain tensioners on my X at 150k an the inside was still clean

Yea, the last guy did NOTHING when it came to maintenance. This engine has 217000 on it.

hei mate, do you have any indication on the weight of a dressed vk56 engine.. is 550 lb a fair bet ?
@Rythecarguy2 жыл бұрын
Manual says you need an engine stand that can handle 539 pounds so 550 is a really good guess. If you want to be conservative go with 600. Hope this helps!💪🏻

Hey man, great videos and much appreciated! I'm in the middle of a head gasket replacement on a vk56 out of a 2010 armada. The head bolts are a weird 6 point castle looking type shape, I think it's a specialty Nissan socket. I watched your vid a couple times but it doesn't look like you used an actual socket for the head bolts, just the 10mm hex... Do you know anything about the issue I'm describing? I can post a pic if needed. Thank you brother, much love 🙏
@Rythecarguy2 жыл бұрын
Yep! My new bolts are like yours. Look up "etorx" or etorx plus" they might be plus. E for external.

I got them off, much appreciated my brother. Keep it up man, namaste 🙏

What manual are you referencing, can you show it to us?
@Rythecarguy3 жыл бұрын
I use the original factory service manual. Unfortunately I can't share it cause I don't want any legal trouble.

@@Rythecarguy Not asking to show content, just the cover and showing that is not illegal. Some of us like to use service manuals and there are several out there by different publishers. Just curious who published yours...OEM?

@@Rythecarguy Where can one purchase a factory service manual? I have a Vk from a 2011 Infiniti M56 that is getting swapped but i might want to try and rebuild the motor- to have a spare- this will be the 3rd engine going into it- each has failed at 100k. Thanks for the video- glad i found it! (ps i have subscribed to learn more!)
