There's a bizarre connection between Brighton & Bayer Leverkusen. Back in the 90's a few Bayer Ultras came to support us in out time of need and the group has been getting bigger over the years. The last time I remember hearing about them, in 2020 a group of at least 60 (some reports saying it was about 200) came over for our derby match with Palace

for another smaller club connection you have Newport County and Carl Zeiss Jena, they played eachother in the cup winners cup back in 1981 while newport was still in league 1, theyve been connected ever since

Nice video! I really like these international fan friendships. As a Gladbach fan, I saw many times Liverpool fans visiting Borussia Park, beeing welcomed on the pitch before the match. One time we had a pre-season friendly vs Liverpool, Gerry Marsden came and sung You‘ll Never Walk Alone. In Anfield they sometimes play Borussia‘s song „Die Elf Vom Niederrhein“ in the halftime. 👏👍

If you come back to Germany and to the Ruhrgebiet, you could go to Westfalia Herne. They are currently playing in the 6th division, they played in the 2nd division a long time ago and almost ended up in the Bundesliga. Very interesting history and VfL Bochum played in their stadium in the 70s because the Ruhrstadion was being rebuilt. There is a very little friendship between the clubs

I am from Bochum and know our Ruhrgebiet Clubs very well but i didn't know Oberhausen has a friendship with Middlesbrough😅 Wattenscheid 09 (District of Bochum) has a Friendship with the Scottish Club Queens Park FC

I think it would be super cool if you turned your love for Bochum into the first English language “podcast” style show, even if it’s just a weekly one episode thing. There isn’t currently any followings for the club in the English language.

I like to think Southampton have a freundshaft with hamburg, my german club, because of our UEFA Cup match against them, the Keegan transfer (my favourite player ever) and the similarities between the two. That's why i support HSV.

I bought a Kaiserslautern-ManUnited Freundschafts Schal at Fritz-Walter-Stadion and saw some fans wearing ManUnited shirts. I did not see anything similar at Old Trafford and have never heard of actual communication. Is that just one-sided thing ? I do not know, at least both are commonly called "Die Roten Teufel", but their positions are fairly different. One thing I do not like on the scarf is that the friendship is expressed as "You'll never walk alone".

I am from Kaiserslautern Area but i never heard of this Friendship. If there is one, it must be a very slightly one. Tend to believe it is just a Catchy "Motto Scarf" with no special Background. Kaiserslautern has Friendships with FC Metz, some Irish/Scottish Club (Kilmarnock?!) and VFB Stuttgart
