Yep, you can get away with playing GTA V. Probably won't be so bad.

Pretty slick combo. You could always save up for a 5700X3D or 5800X3D CPU upgrade and then you would be cookin'

Nice PC. Anything with a 3080(unless you got the deal to win all deals) is probably more mid tier than budget. Probably just splitting hairs but I build a lot of 200-400 dollar PCs that will never touch this performance.

That's a fair assessment! I specialize on keeping my PC's to an affordable budget for customers. So, that is more what I mean by "budget," though I totally see where you're coming from. I would have used the same terminology with a i7-3770 & GTX 1060 6GB build, so I'll think about being more specific. It might help if I wrote a script.

You'll definitely bottleneck with an i7-8700K, but you'll still be able to game. It would definitely be worth it to invest or start saving for a better CPU. In a pinch, this Ryzen 5 5600X would work and also provide an upgrade path to something like a Ryzen 7 5700X or 5800X3D

As great of a CPU the i7 8700K was in its day, it's losing ground quickly at this point in time.

I have the 5600x paired with the 3080 TI. I get a slight bottleneck with the CPU. All games run fine if anything I see it slightly on warzone . but I feel I want to up the CPU at some point but not sure what to. I'd rather the bottleneck be the GPU. Will just mean my CPU is ok to do other things in the background if needed.
