I got a 5700X3D last month. Best $200 upgrade ever. Doesn't show much benefit in most esports titles but in a lot of AAA games, it provides a much smoother experience. X3D is also great for flight sims and sim racers because of all the heavy duty physics calculations; the massive amount of cache greatly reduces the amount of memory access necessary to process them. The awesome thing about X3D is that it benefits GPUs of every tier. I only have a 6600 but it makes a significant difference in a lot of games.

Love my 5.5ghz 7600. the response time you are referring to is simply an indicator of FPS (1000ms/FPS = the response time you are seeing). CPU/GPU (system) response time would be measured by something like sysmon. Also, The higher score in timespy is primarily due to the CPU tests in this particular benchmark being won by the higher frequency of the 7600 (which could be even better as the 7600x3d won't OC). The utilization, or not, of cache has less to do w/ these results. Great RL usage comparison video Bros.

Even though I'm within reasonable driving distance of a Micro Center (45 minutes), I'm happy with my 7600. It packs a reasonable amount of performance without breaking the bank, especially when paired with a 7900 GRE. Besides, the games I'm currently playing are mostly untouched single-player titles from my enormous Steam backlog, so I doubt I'd notice any significant performance uplift. For the latest AAA single player titles I want to play, I can use upscaling to compensate.

I picked the 7600X3D bundle for my recent build - reasons: I have a 5.1 sound system, and the bundled M/B has support for that, plus $40 cheaper than swapping the 7600X3D for a 7600, retaining the rest of the bundled components.... at Microcenter bundling is definitely the way to go. I suppose I could have gone $60 cheaper by going with the 7600X bundle (no 7600 bundle right now though).

Perhaps you should consider benchmarking more games. Like a dozen. 6 games each. Preferably not all competitive shooters. Action adventures,action rpgs,MMO games,Singleplayer shooters(or those with strong SP component),racing games etc. Some big huge open world, some not. Pick some most popular games,play them about halfway through making dozens of save games where possible and you will have A LOT of stuff to choose from when required. I mean you can preach about depending on what you play without really showing it. I am playing CP2077 and Dragon Age Veilguard without on screen fps on a PC . Fps and other data can be very distracting and don't contribute to the overall experience in a good way.

With The Finals it sure looked like the 7600 was outperforming the 7600X3D. FPS are the use case I am interested in.... but to get a better understanding of their relative performance I think you would need to play each on multiple maps and then determine the average frame rate of each making sure any one map didn't skew the results. It is also my understanding that the 7600 can be overclocked more easily (due to thermal issues with the X3D chips, at lease with this and the previous generation) and the slight overclocking you can get may well offset the X3D cache boost in FPS.
@J.Wick.16 сағат бұрын

I had the 7500f and upgraded to the 7600x3d paired with a 4080. It was a nice upgrade. I tested a couple games at 1440p like Valheim and got around 30fps more. I don't see as much bottle necking from the CPU anymore. Is it worth the money? I paid 125$ for the 7500f and it did everything well enough. I got the 7600x3d mainly because of the exclusivity.
