Dude. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All the so-called experts on photo forums did NOT specify that the CURVE MUST TOUCH the other end. Much appreciated.

J VH thank you for checking it out and the comment. It took me a while to actually get it.

Do you cover how to use the "aperture lever" on the lenses in any of your videos? I thought you'd mention the purpose when you touched it at @3:55. Thanks

Def not. You have put together a great playlist. I’m using an RB but a lot of it was applicable to better understand my camera. Great job!

:) Since I’m new to the medium format game, I might come back to ask some questions here. Nobody on YT goes as in depth as you about the Mamiya-not by a long shot. I’m thinking of getting a second Mamiya, the RZ in the future as well. Next I wanna learn more about all the different lenses and their pros / cons. Right now I’m using a Sekor 180mm and was wondering what are the best possible options for portraits…
@RyuuzakiJulio7 жыл бұрын
+vis-kid vids I had been thinking in doing a video about that since is my main job to do portraits. But I’ll answer really quick, I have the 50, 110 and 180. On film I like the 180, but on digital back I prefer the 110 because the crop. It really depends how much background you want to have and what type of portraits you are looking to get. More of a single person portrait as in CD cover or an environmental portrait such as a chef in the kitchen or a lawyer in a room full of books.

4:36 why 2 mts for 110?
@RyuuzakiJulio7 жыл бұрын
Is about optics, taking in count the curvature of the lens, if you extend the bellows around 4mm according to the scale the focal point would be positioned at 2 m of distance from the projection plane (the film) thats why some have their minimal focusing distance and by moving the bellows you can set up focus very close to the camera depending on the lens, thing you can't do with a 35mm camera since the lens are stationary and when you focus the lenses inside don't move as much as the bellows of the RZ, I hope is not so confusing to understand.

Hi Julio. I think what Francisco means is that you may have been looking at the wrong line (75mm). If you go back and check your video, I think you will see that the 110mm focus line is actually showing a focus distance of 3m rather than 2m in your example.@@RyuuzakiJulio

Mike Allen oh yeah you are right the 110 is the 3rd red line so 2m focus would be bellows extension 6mm. Apologies for that.
