In this month's episode of airgun hunting, Mick Garvey is out conducting essential pest control on a local permission.
Part 2 of Mick’s mercy mission.
Mick is out on a previous site, where the landowner has seen a rabbit that seems to be suffering from what he thinks is myxomatosis.
Mick heads out to check the grounds before getting on with finding this poor rabbit. Is it just the one or is it worse than the landowner thought?

Hi mick great content. Such a shame about the rabbit's suffering from mixi.so well done for putting poor things out of there misery. As I've not hunted rabbits i was wondering do you have to report the outbreak to anyone. so disease could be contained to certain area's to protect rabbit populations in nearby area's.

will you disinfect your boots and gear after shooting on this land before you go on your other permissions I know mixi is spread by fleas just wondered if you took any precautions after shooting on infested land

Hi and thanks for this great question … my kit certainly got put in the wash that night and always when shooting mixy’d rabbits it’ll be disinfected as some of my friends have pet rabbits and with the amount of rabbit control I do I wouldn’t want to spread it to other areas MG

Hi Shane … they are a pair I bought some years back in the USA … either from cabelas or gander mountain not sure if you can tell but they are a Lycra type material and in a camo finish they’ve served me well though but are ready for replacement
