Some people are upset this figure uses the old body mold. Others would get mad if it was a brand new figure as an exclusive. Will this updated color scheme be enough to keep everyone happy until we get a whole new figure?

Yeah a lot of people can't go to events to get these figures. I'm lucky this year the exclusive figures will be available in Toronto, Canada this year. which is surprising because we never get exclusive of anything. So I'll hopefully be able to buy one or 2 of each.

Jake Jones actually it kinda did when they first fused the only reason why it wasnt as noticeable was because of the atmosphere but if you look at the light shading in the anime it does have a brown tint to it

The brown hair is accurate to how the character is now but when he first appeared in DBZ he was drawn with black hair. It's really just what colors you prefer. The old Vegito is more accurate to Z and the new Vegito is more accurate to Super.

Now SSB Goku has matte hair with line details, SSB Vegeta has _glossy_ hair with _no_ line details, and SSB Vegito has _pearly_ hair _with_ line details. I really wish they'd just be consistent with their figures, especially considering the prices. lol

100% I like the event exclusive color better. The brighter blue of the gi grabs my eye more, and the shading throughout is great. that’s something OG Vegito lacked imo. The more saturated, less clear plastic of the effect piece is better as well for me, and the blue hair is perfect, I wish SSGSS goku and vegeta would have gotten the same color for their hair pieces. My personal favorite of this years exclusives

the brown hair is accurate to dragonball super cause when he reappeared in that, he had brownish hair while in the original, it was black hair.

Vegito's hair has always been black with a slightly shade of brown, or very dark brown. This was in both in Dragon Ball Z, and Super. Tho, in DBZ it was only noticeable in the Blu-Ray or Kai versions (HD). However, it is worth mentioning that this is only in the anime version, in the color-version of the Dragon Ball manga, his hair was completely black, alongside his belt being the same color as his Gi. So, technically, the first release of Vegito had the original colors from the manga, and this new version has the anime colors from Super. Now that I think about it, Vegito's lighter belt in this new appereance is probably because Vegeta's clothes in Super have a lighter blue than the one his jumpsuit in the Buu saga had.

Vegeta also originally got brown hair..if you play all dbz games, most of animated opening will use dark brown instead black for vegeta and vegetto..but in anime they use black maybe can cut production time..i dont know..

It depends on the saturation of vegetto in Z he is very muted maling the og 1.0 closer to z but the high satuartion of super the new 1.0 repaint lines up with the super animation but most vegetto base forms do depict brown hair but when rewatching him in Z it looks almost black.

The reason his hair is a brown color is due to vegetas first appearance when he had the red hair(if you have not seen his first appearance it was the sdcc exclusive scouter vegeta). However it all depends on the animators at the time. Some drew him with black hair and greyish shadowing and others drew him with blackish brown hair with a lighter chocolate color shadowing.

Making myself completely clear vegito's hair is brown.the reason for that is Vegeta's natural hair color is very very dark brown.it shows up black in most of the art but his hair color is very very very dark brown

His hair in base form is technically a dark brown, as he gets it from vegeta. It's been shown like that in multiple sources(even before dbs). So it's accurate. And a nice touch, that just solidified this deal. I'll be getting this figure.

The black/brown hair situation is due to style changes in the anime. the character has brown hair like vegeta but it is depicted as brown in Z. In super, they simply show it as a lighter shade of brown rather than just black with brown shading like in Z.

Vegeta and vegeto are sometimes are portrayed with either jet black hair or black hair with brown highlights, I prefer the jet black but yes vegeto in super has brown hair

Been waiting for your review anxiously ever since you posted the box photos on IG! Glad bluefin sent you these, thanks for getting the review out so fast! Yep, definitely going to have to pick this guy up. The faces and bland paint were a deal-breaker for me on the original, but this one fixes both of those. And yep, the hair is accurate. His hair is pretty much that exact colour in Super as well as some scenes in Z.

mickeyzkun Your custom uses a 2.0 Body though so your custom already has better articulation than this one although I won't lie, I do like this hair slightly better than yours.

His hair is supposed to be that light brown is accurate to THIS VERSION. Of Vegito. The black hair is the Z version. Also his blast effect isnt a blast, its a sword, specifically the "Spirit Excalibur" which is AWESOME. Great review Anthony

In the original run vegito had black hair but in kai they switched it to a dark brown so in super its dark brown. Like what they do with vegeta sometimes he has black and sometimes he has brown. They can’t make up their minds. I prefer the black hair though but that blue looks awesome.

I'm very torn on these figures. I have every single figuarts DB figure and have been collecting them since the first figure (piccolo) was released. But at some point bandai/bluefin realized I guess that people actually like these figures and now release a shit load every year when before it was like 3. I don't mind event exclusives but to have 3 this year is horrible, especially when there is basically no way for me to get to any of the events so I'm basically doomed to pay inflated prices. The Vegetto is a must because he is technically "new" but cell and broly have both already received repaints. I'm not sure I want to pay 150-250 for a repaint of a repaint, but at the same time I have every damn figure in this line and swore to myself that this was THE figure line I would collect, forsaking all other dragon ball figures. Ugh. I'm going to try my hardest to get these three for under $400 combined if I can.

I'm debating passing on this. I get the feeling they'll make a 2.0 version which would murder the value of this. So I'm on the fence. I mean, Tamashii is about to release a 2.0 version of the Freiza Saga SDCC Goku. You never know with Tamashii. Probably the SDCC Piccolo will get a 2.0 as well. Risky.

I don't know why, but Bandai is running on a V6 turbo with the DB figuarts lately...look at all that's been released the past 2 years AND 3 exclusives! Even if they're repaints. Welp, like usual, the aftermarket is going to be a total pain...unless you were able to make a steal deal from an insider.
