Well folks the WEIRD MONKE has been fully revealed 👀🚨 Check out my reaction on the S.H. Monsterarts Skar King reveal along with some other goodies as well! Skar King is the main villain from the Legendary Monsterverse film Godzilla x Kong The New Empire and has now joined the line-up of figures in the SHMA line! 🐒 We also got a tease of the Kong BEAST Glove accessories that come with him as well as a slight look at Shimo! So many thoughts!

I'm with 9kitsune on this one, they should have released Kong with Beast glove as a repaint, not as an accessory piece! I am not willing to buy 2 whole, $100+ figures just to make the 1 I really want! hiya SAVE ME and my wallet!!!! also, it's weird they try to release Beast Glove Kong this way, especially given SHMA's history of repaints and re-releases, you'd think, along with almost everyone else in the goji collecting community, tamashi would do a whole other release with the beast glove accessory, why they went about this way is confusing to say the least, maybe it's a desperate attempt to pump up sales of the 2024 kong figure? who knows!

Honestly I'm more excited for shimo than scar king and probably not gonna pick it up idk he seems not as big of a threat as king Ghidorah. I'm just hoping a Mothra figure is made 🙏

@@brandonott6103 The glove comes with skar king as a bonus accessory for a Kong figure. So if you want the glove for a Kong you have, you have to get skar king.

I'm excited for skar king although I have one gripe and it's that his roaring face doesn't look quite right, but I'm glad we're getting a beast glove for Kong I don't get why it wasn't with the Kong they released recently considering it would make the price more reasonable but at least we're getting it at all

Scar king is my personal favorite MV villain. I’m trying to figure out if I should get these two or wait for hiya to release these. Because I do think that hiya has a more accurate Kong face. I’ll think about it.

Idk if it’s just me but skar Kings roaring face looks like the predator or something like that. And the beast glove looks weird it’s like missing some details. And one more thing skars eye is a little weird I know his eyes are blue but for most of the movie when he in light it looks more pale like he’s blind

I think the character looks good apart from the roaring face, the normal face the eye pupils are meant to be white at 6:24 and the whipslash at 1:50 the ribs on the spine look just a bit long from the movie but apart from those issues in my opinion looks quite good

I am a massive shimo fan so I'm definitely getting the shimo if its real and maybe the star king but I'm only getting star king if it scales well with shimo when it realeses but I have to see if it looks as good as I like articulated figures and actually I just got in to godzilla stuff but that's only because the gxk movie came out and shimo was teased also I just came out of watching the new movie its great so over all I'm getting the shimo if it realeses and I will get star king if it scales with shimo and don't hate me for this if you like kong but I'm not getting the kong with beast glove because I don't want to get to many figures because I want to be nice to my wallet

I'd rather just wait until Hiya Toys makes their version of a Skar King figure. The articulation, sculpt detail, and paint will be just as good while also being 20 dollars cheaper.

I have the event kong and gxk kong only from sh. So im looking forward to the beast glove. Kinda glad rhey dodnt make another figure foe the glove. Honetsky glad its an accessory for scar fodder

It looks like sh monsterarts is doing what sh figuarts did with super hero gohan but with kong where they give a more popular characters accessories to characters that are not as popular so that those characters sell better. This means that people who want a more accurate face for kong should not give up hope because shimo might come with more accurate faces for kong or they might come with an atomic breath piece for godzilla so that people will want to buy shimo

Wow a skar king! I would love to buy it to complete my monsterverse collection but I’m gonna hold out and see if Hiya will release him too Wish Kong’s hand had little bit of that frost bite damage underneath that glove, but looks cool regardless

I think skar kings head is going to depend on angle due to the side angle looking better with the roaring head on the front angle it looks too squished but on the side angle it looks fine but definitely a pick up for me because skar king was my favorite character in gxk his aura,his drip,his looks,his monkey cheeks,and his whip though he got weaker throughout the movie I still think he deserves respect all these “OH GODZILLA BEST MV CHARACTER OMG HE THREW SKAR KING HAHAHAHAH” when Godzilla had like 20 min. Of screen time

I dont like the idea of getting whole another figure to make your first one have the thing you wanted but it sitll looks great ı liked sculpt and paint shimo looks too eerie like something is off hopefully thats just the teaser thing

And i really dont think shimu looks anything close to the movie from that pic alone hiya already better. Way too many spikes imo. Hiya killed it. But i know its a shadow pic but until i saw it said shimu i was like what character is that? Lol.

I am NOT buying these, the only good figure here (in my opinion) is the beast glove kong but that’s already ruined for most of us since we need to buy Skar king and a sh kong figure so yeah I think hiya is better

I'm kinda in the same boat as you, wasnt really impressed by Skar King in the movie. And unfortunately, this figure doesnt really capture any aspects of his personality well at all, IMO. Neither of his faces are particularly menacing, and he doesnt even have an evil grinning face. The roaring face doesnt have enough of the eye squint and the mouth is too narrow to really convey a fierce battle cry; it just looks like he's half-heartedly going "nyeeeeeeeeeehhh." The beast glove looks like it was made by playmates. They seriously couldnt be bothered to add some weathering or shading? My heart is already set on HIYA Shimo so both of these are an easy pass.
