[S] Homestuck opening

I did this for our title sequence assignment at school. Since I didn't have much time I wanted to make it look good without having to actually animate anything, and I think it came out fairly well.
Everything was drawn in Photoshop and composed in After Effects. The song is Descend by Toby Fox (homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/d...) cut for me by my partner in crime. Hope you enjoy!

It's a fan-made opening for an imagined television series of the existing webcomic called Homestuck. Homestuck is a multilayered story about weird teen romances inside a game and includes a lot of meme references and story loops. It's a fun ride if you live in the internet and like that sort of stuff!

Apart from them, every single character I can think of died once. And that's taking into consideration everyone on Earth and in the Incipisphere who died after [S] Cascade.

Even with some changes as noted by other commenters and only part of the cast this video is stunning! I'm pretty sure my eyes were as wide as dinner plates the whole thing through but when the melody came in at 0:09- aahhhhhh... I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing! It's just so perfect! @AngelicxRose Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed. :) Basically I used Davesprite for the same reason I used Jack Noir; spoilers. Cascade had come out v. recently. If I think about intros I think at least the "first season" opening shouldn't be too revealing, and Homestuck is long enough to be considered having more than one season. In this sense it could be better, I mean maybe I could have chosen the trolls based on who was shown first and left Doc Scratch out and whatnot, but it works for now.

Good for you! If you are not afraid of text-heavy comics you'll be seeing moving images and some nigh-interactive content in no time. :) Personally I love the inventive aspects of Homestuck and how being digital is such a big part of it. I got into it by way of some amazing fanart I'd seen floating around and by the time I got into the first strife in the comic I was a goner. :)

Yeah i got curious about it because I have been seeing a TON of cosplay of it on Deviant Art and i had never heard of an anime called home stuck, so i youtubed it and found a bunch of fan stuffs and video clips of it but i still did not understand it. I stumbled upon a fan reading here on the tubes called "Lets read: Homestuck" and started watching that. it still didnt catch my fancy but i started this thing to not knock it till i tried it, so kept watching up top act2 today, and im hooked lol.

@BellaHeroneyes I can't exactly patent the idea. As for the audio, you'd get better quality buying the original from bandcamp and editing your own cut of the song, plus it would give you greater control over what happens where - we used Audacity for it.
