Dr Lockridge was my pastor he really taught god’s word and was such a pleasant person a big congregation but he knew us all by our name such a sweet wife also I miss both of them when I reminiscing I just listen to these great sermons by him awesome pastor teacher I had so much respect for him even the children loved him and would sit attentively to his teaching he’s gone now but his memory lives on still here at Calvary true man of God🙏

That was given at The Moody Bible Institute during Founder's Week. E.V Hill & S.M Lockridge are two favorites of mine.

@daniel letterman It's not selling "religion" at all. It's introducing a relationship. Religion (when you define it as practice of good deeds, creeds, ordinances, rules, etc) is man's vain attempt to somehow justify himself by his good works. The relationship I'm talking about is a living one, with the living Lord Jesus Christ. Only He can save us. We can't possibly save ourselves. We can never get good enough for God. God is absolute and total perfection and holiness. Only the absolutely perfect and holy can dwell in His presence. We can never hope to achieve that unless the perfection of Jesus Christ is imputed to us by faith in what He did on the cross. The effects of knowing Christ are not psychological, although they do affect the psyche. No, the effects are much deeper. You become new. You're born a second time. The part of you that was dead, your spirit, is made alive. You;re given a new nature. This nature transforms your life. You don't become perfect or sinless in this life, but you now know the sinless and perfect one in this life - and He transforms you over time to the image of His Son. This transformation is of mind, soul and spirit - not merely the psyche.

Yes Yeshua is The Annointed of YHWH, no one is disputing that.There are other annointings that take place in the bible. Such as the annointing of kings by the high priest for example. You clearly don't understand the context the brother above used the word 'annointed'. The two scriptures below should validate my rebuttal to your attempt at refuting the use of the word. I heard S.M. Lockridge preach these messages 40 years ago in Knoxville, TN I heard him preach a sermon about the 3 Hebrew children thrown in the fiery furnace in the book of Daniel. He named the sermon SHADRACK, MESHACK AND A BAD NEGRO, by the way S.M. in Mr. Lockridge's name stands for Shadrack Meshack so he said. I still remember these sermons some 40 years later they were and still are anointed of God, listen to every word.

Thats a man sir! weakness, hunger, fear, hatred....i could go on. Ive always known Jesus, and god....i feel a lil stronger for hearing this. Thanks Doc! I had a fight with my son about getting a job, stop sleeeping all damn day...he got his GED, and wants to be a man.... we got into a fight and i kicked him out... I feel so horrible, so bad, and after a few days i broke a 2 year sobriety and cant seem to find a way out.... You are a true caring person, that dont take shit! I love you, and you have a kingdom in my heart. I need to pray for my son, and i gotta find a way to let him know i love him while i also get him to understand that hes on a negative path.... I also need to get off the negative thoughts, and keep moving forward. I truly care about all people, wether they know jesus or not. Seems like they are becoming less these days, and its not like i pray for them, i just think they are missing out.

Amen!! Heaven is ALL about Jesus!! "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" . For all eternity it all be about JESUS every single moment and we will be Amazed every moment for all eternity, So,,,,, shouldn't THE LORD JESUS be enough here on earth 🙂
