Jino was only 18 in this and only a trainee when he was chosen to be in this song. That's why 2 years later, people were expecting he'd be in EXO's debut lineup and were surprised that he wasn't in it. He left SM sometime after that and ended up debuting in Pentagon in 2016 using his real name Jinho. Years later, he mentioned that he was never in the possible EXO lineup, and that he was in a pre-debut lineup for a boygroup that SM was planning to debut before EXO but ended up scrapping. Really fascinating how things work out.

SM The Ballad is an SM project group, which consists of SM's best vocalists. (There are two albums.) There are more artists who are part of this project -- because SM is full of crazy amazing vocalists -- but for their "Hot Times" MV it included, from left to right in the paused image at the end of the reaction: > Jay (the guy with the leopard print shirt) who is the main vocalist of Trax -- which was/is SM's rock/EDM band that debuted in 2004 -- who has crazy rock vocals. > Jonghyun (the one with the crazy high notes) who is the main vocalist from SHINee that debuted in 2008, and is considered one of the best vocalists in all of Kpop. > Kyuhyun (The person Kerry recognized with the leather jacket), who is one of the main vocalists of Super Junior that debuted in 2005/2006, and is recognized for having vocal abilities that are unrivaled. > Jino/Jinho (the "Seugkwan-D.O hybrid" with the cheetah print vest), who was an SM trainee at the time, but left the company, became a vocal coach and now is the main vocalist of the Kpop group Pentagon that debuted in 2016. (Just think, he was still just a trainee and hadn't even debuted yet.) This song was produced by Yoo YoungJin who was an SM singer, songwriter and main producer for years. He was one of the first few artists signed under SM way back in the early '90s and he worked with SM up until Lee SooMan was forced to retire a little more than a year ago, when he and the company also parted ways. Yoo YoungJin is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse company, because he was a vocal coach for a lot of SM's artists. He is the vocal coach who helped train Changmin from TVXQ and D.O. from EXO to be the amazing singers that you hear today. He is the one who wrote and produced EXO's pre-debut songs "History" and "What is Love," which, now that you have heard "Hot Times," I am sure you can hear his influence on several of SM's songs. D.O. and aespa's Winter are a few of his most prized students, and they have even been nicknamed Yoo YoungJin's son and daughter because they have such similar vocal styles and abilities. Yoo YoungJin produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs, and he is the one that is most often credited with coming up with the most iconic parts of SM's productions. For example, he is the one who does the ad libs and high notes in the background of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, and he is the one we hear harmonizing with Taeyeon in Girls' Generation's song "The Boys," etc. (Back in the day, his vocals and/or ad libs were used in a lot of SM's songs.) If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years. At this point, if we made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL

Henry was in Super Junior - M. The chinese sub-unit of Suju. If you guys want to see vocals you should react to Super Junior KRY. It's a sub-unit of Suju's main vocal line (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung). Funny fact: Super Junior K.R.Y was the first ever sub-unit in Kpop, they started the trend of sub-units.

Those days when SM was still SMing. This song was produced by Yoo Youngjin (if you remember him from Tell Me What is Love with D.O.) who's like the blueprint of SM. Also, Jinho was prolly 18 there, the youngest but he's the oldest in Pentagon. Also, none of them are in SM anymore lol

TRAX just had a comeback under SM a few weeks ago as part of their 20th anniversary. So they are still involved with SM a little, same with Kyuhyun as a member of SuJu. Just because they've moved solo activities to new companies doesn't mean they aren't still a part of SM. Same with SuJu's Donghae and Eunhyuk; EXO's D.O., Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin; and SHINee's Onew and Taemin. They are all very much active as members of their groups, therefore they are still SM artists.

I like neither SM nor Cube but I feel like Jinho would have gotten more recognition for his vocals in SM. Imagine him in NCT instead of the ' T' trash guy. At this point, all pentagon members should leave cube and join btob or highlight 's company lol. Highlight's Around Us will be great agency

Jinho is one of the best vocalists of all generations of kpop (no wonder he was in the sm ballad with only being a trainee), it breaks my heart that he has so much potential to be more recognized, but cube ruined everything

I think Simon was ramming Yesung and Heechul together to get Heesung hahaha both are Suju though. Kerry definitely needs to trust her instincts on who's who! Also, fun fact, Jay from Trax (far left, definitely not from Suju haha) is now also a vocal coach at SM (I believe for NCT and WayV) so you know the legacy of incredible vocals is strong! (P.s. you'd like Trax Simon, they were SMs first rock band)

Please please please react to SPEED, "What U" and "Dont Tease Me" they only have dance practices for those songs, but they are an older group that was incredibly ahead of their time with absolutely bonkers choreo that is too dangerous for idols to even be allowed to do today.
