In fact, the expression 'performer' seems to me rather a misnomer for him of late, the more I follow and happily ingest his melodic offerings in the internet-based fora. Poised centrestage with an informal ease but uncompromising commitment and an unwavering zeal to deliver nothing short of his best on every occasion, flanked by self-effacing but privileged and competent 'collaborators', SS exudes an aura of inclusiveness that spontaneously subsumes a vast sprawling gathering of avid Rasikas into the subliminal 'proceedings' then underway, so to speak. He virtually lives through the vibrant and intricate emotions that are inherent in whatever he takes up for a musical exposition and in the same breath imparts the awesome experience to a spellbound fraternity in rapt attention. The above piece in Hindolam, though devoid of a Raga Alapana to commence with and Swaraprastha towards culmination, nevertheless left me a very satisfied listener at the end of the day, thanks to a very impactful neraval around 'Kapali'. SS leaves none ungratified. Stay Blessed Always !

The Tamil sentence “Karunai seivaai” - கருணை செய்வாய்” in the penultimate line in Caranam in lieu of the original Sanskrit word “karalakara - करलकर seems to be local adaptation as the original composition is written in Sanskrit. As a purist I thought Sanjay will avoid mixing (manipravaala nadai) . But great singing
