Day 1 done! I have been teaching K-2 music the past year and a half, and by the end of each week, I have had no voice. Last week, I warmed up and down each day with my new singing straw, and I had a voice ALL WEEK!! I can't wait to see what the next 10 days will bring, but am hopeful that this will strengthen my voice, and increase its durability and flexibility. I have previously taught voice and performed in musical theatre productions for 30 years, but was not prepared for what teaching school would do to it and was not sure how to protect my instrument! Thank you!!!

Completed and Wow it loosen my stuffed nose. I did it twice and want to do it again later. I am using 3mm singing straw. My Vibrato came along as I go higher.

@SingingStraw Day 1 complete! Definitely noticing a mini cardio workout and some cracking in my voice (recovered from COVID and bronchitis not long ago). Showing up imperfectly perfect. :)

Coming back from some vocal chord damage, had a couple of injections, and tried a singing straw with a speech pathologist. I'm not yet ready to send my initial recording off, but I'm saving it for comparison. The injections have been helpful, but the straws I used prior were definitely too large and I wasn't getting any of my range back. In the 4 days I've started working with Whitney on KZbin, I already hear improvements and so appreciate that. While I've been a singer for years, singing has been a recent frustration. No stability, questionable reliability, and a loss of 5 notes on the high side. I don't need a high c at this point in my life, but I'd really like that high "g" and "a" back. I'm an audiobook narrator, and I think this is going to help a lot those vocal marathons. I now have hope. Thanks, Whitney! I've done the day 1 challenge and looking forward to day 2.

Late start.. life got in the way. But this was really awesome I haven’t done any simple slides like this, the fifth and the octave for ages. I’m feeling the benefits already and I got easily up to the D6.. feeling good 🎉 Fabulous fresh start 😊

Day One Done! I had been using a normal straw in a glass of water for two-ish years. It made a huge difference in my voice, and my vocal coach showed me your channel in hopes I'd purchase the Singing Straw. I kept putting it off for a long time, using the straw in water method along with your videos. But when you announced this challenge, I knew I had to finally give in. It's only been a little over a week since I got my Singing Straw, and it's made a huge difference already! It's been more beneficial to me than typical vocal warmups and exercises, so far anyway. It relaxes my voice in a way nothing else has. I mainly sing with doubles right now, but my goal is to practice with my straws everyday and eventually make it down to one straw.
