He did mention it’s a magnet for fingerprints and looking dirty. Probably to prevent that.

Likely the result of severe OCD and nail biting that leads to significant infection and bleeding.

An easier work around is to just hold it upsidedown or sideways. Why does it have to be upright if thats the hardest way to cut it...
