ریحان نام گیاهی یک‌ساله از خانوادهٔ نعنائیان است که آن را در فارسی «شاهِسپَرَم» و «شاهسپرغم» و نازبو نیز گفته‌اند.

ریحان طبعی کمی گرم و خشک دارد. تخم شربتی نام دانه ریحان است که برای تهیه شربت به کار می‌رود. کاهش بیماری‌های قلبی عروقی، پیشگیری از بروز سرطان، حفظ سلامتی پوست، مو و استخوان برخی از خواص ریحان است. این گیاه معطر و بادشکن است. اگر چه بیشتر به عنوان سبزی خوردن یا طعم دهنده به غذا، مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد

روش کاشت:
از خاک باغچه (خاک معمولی)+کود حیوانی پوسیده برای کاشت استفاده میکنیم
اول خاک رو زیر رو رو میکنیم تا یکدست و صاف بشه و خاک های سفت شده خرد بشن
بذر ریحان رو روی خاک میاشیم و روی ریحان ها رو یک لایه نازک خاک میریزیم و خاک رو با بیل سفت میکنیم تا بذرها پوشیده بشن و جابجا نشن ،بعد با آبیاش آبیاری میکنیم ،هر روز باید ریحان را آبیاری کنین

برای کاشت در باغچه مکان مورد نظر رو انتخاب می کنیم و خاک را خوب بیل میزنیم تا نرم شود.روی خاک را با شن کش صاف می کنم.

بذر ریحان ها را همه جا می پاشم و دوباره مخالف جهت شن کش را میکیشم تا بذر ریحان ها به داخل خاک بروند .

روی خاک کود حیوانی میریزم تا رطوبت را بهتر حفظ کند .

هنگامی که گیاه شما بزرگ شد و دارای چندین برگ شد. می توانید بنا بر نیاز خود تعدادی از برگهای آن را چیده و مصرف .کنید بهترین مکان برای نگهداری گلدان نیز جاییست که در روز حداقل 4 ساعت آفتاب مستقیم به گیاه بتابد. گیاه شما برای رشد بهتر حتما به نور مستقیم خورشید نیازدارد.

دمای مناسب جوانه زنی ۱۸ تا ۳۰ درجه
