I love the M&P series. Everything from the old wheel guns to the new stuff. I have worn the coating off in certain spots. Thousands of rounds of 40 and ZERO malfunctions. It's the only pistol I can say that about I own.
@lFaceless3 жыл бұрын
One of the best handguns on the market. I have a first gen 4.25 inch barrel version that I've put in access of 8000+ rounds through of all types of different 9mm ammo from expensive self defense to the cheapest ball ammo I could find. Never, Not once have I had any type of malfunction. That may be hard to believe and I understand but you couldn't ask for a better built or more reliable handgun. If you in the market for a handgun do youslef a favor and get one.

I got my first M&P about 10 years ago, didn't take long to start building that M&P line up and replacing glocks. The first full size 9mm that I got has had a few thousand rounds ran through it and it just runs. Never changed a part on any of my M&P's except sights. My latest M&P purchase was the 5" FDE 9mm, what a dream to shoot! The 45 ACP is a very smooth pistol also.

The slide closing when the mag is slammed home is a FEATURE imo
@mannys91303 жыл бұрын
It's a flaw in most people's opinion. Chambering a cartridge and making itself ready to fire when the operator doesn't intend to do so yet? Yeah, that's a major flaw.

I prefer it dropping when you slam the mag too. It won't do that unless you really slam it in there. And I get it, you shouldn't rely on slamming the mag to drop the slide when training for a fight, but it was nice when shooting uspsa type games.

Do you mean Model 13253? 4" ported barrel. M&P SHIELD PLUS (13+1)...or something even shorter, or else? The main reason I went with the 13144, M&P 2.0 - 4" (15+1rd) instead of that, is the front rail on mine. I wanted the shorter 3.6, but wonder if they can't make it work to have the shorter still function with the slide & cut for O.R.
@brentboyce29593 жыл бұрын
I also wish they offered the optics package on the short slide shield as well. The original shield size was great and I don't really want the longer slide for concealed carry. But I would love an optics cut from the factory to not void the warranty.

Was the first firearm I purchased. It came with a less expensive Crimson trace 1500 red dot . Its a trouble free firearm and after a a thousand rounds has performed very well. Accurate with the iron sights as well.

I just purchased the same one. Were you able to get the red dot high enough? Maybe I mounted it poorly or I'm just not familiar with pistol optics but I could not get the optic to be high enough(mounting seems flush). Can’t go wrong with anything M&P from SW. I had a m&p9 gen 1 that was a good gun but didn’t really do anything special for me. It was boringly good I guess you can say. Had one, too. Even a S&W Bodyguard that does the same thing. Sometimes, the slide slams too early when loading the mag and didn’t pick up the round, pull trigger and goes click. I have to check the slide porthole every time it slams in just to be sure it loaded a round.
@clinkerclint3 жыл бұрын
