Belmonts can easily look insane vs characters who struggle to rush them down. Dom is very very good, don't get me wrong. but Belmonts are easily in little mac and Luigi tier where they look way better against certain matchups or playstyles. like Belmonts vs pika etc, it just invalidates a lot of skill on the Belmonts end. why I think they're one of the worst designed characters in the game

Dom makes Richter look godlike, but literally just comparing this to Wadi's gameplay on vgbootcamp in late 2019 it's kinda surreal. I don't hate on the online vibe at all but it kinda kills me to see Wadi not get the most of this approach to tournaments. So much of his movement felt like it was staggered by frame delay, especially when you consider his average response and readjustment time in tournament matches.

Belmonts (along with pacman, snake, steve, Rob, IC, dedede, and teenager link to some extent) are a rare type of character that can do non-linear combos, using their lingering hitboxes and stage control tools, in this stupid lame linear game... Would you rather watch wolf ? The returning cross alone opens up so many confirms and possibilities, it's crazy how 1 tool can completely overthrow the boring predictability of this game.
