As a 4 with most of life behind me, I found this podcast so enlightening, encouraging, and even rapturous. I've never used that word. I got it from Scott. I came up with the following idea: As the doors decrease when we age, the risk is heightened and the more aware we are of walking the razor's edge of a mindset of either despair or liberation. When by faith we choose the mindset of liberation by holding the outcomes loosely, we are free to experience the rapturous joy of discovering who we are and Who God is. We overcome darkness and despair.

Ian, something I think you need to be mindful because this has hurt me a lot in the past. As someone that identifies with type 4, you struggle with identity issues, presumably. That’s the theory, at least. Well, just because you have a looser sense of identity doesn’t mean that everyone else does and, honestly, I think you play it way too fast and loose with that when speaking to others. I say this as someone that had a derealization episode a few years ago and the enneagram and programs like this honestly contributed a great deal to it. I don’t mean to be rude but it’s important to say, imo.
