In our case there are two different types: 5W and 15W suspension fluid.

Great video!!!! 😍 I’ve got a 2020 lyrik with really bad stiction. It only has about 10 hours on it so I didn’t do a full lower leg service but I read somewhere sometimes they don’t put enough oil from the factory. Sure enough I only drained about 5ml from both tubes combined. I replaced with the recommended 0W-30, 10ml per leg, and fork is much better. There was also too much air pressure, about 175 psi. I put back in 95 psi, and the fork with the new oil feels much better. I was ready to scrap it and replace it with a fox 36. I still like the action of the fox forks better but they’re so expensive and I have no idea what I could sell my lyrik for. One small note, I believe Sram mentions putting grease where the freshly oiled foam seals sit. Maybe just to hold them in place for the reassembly?

Awesome ! For the dust seals, can you easyly put them back on the legs by hand, or do you have to force it down ? I heard about a tool to push them...

You can use a bottle cap and gently using a mallet to get it perfect. I will have a video on my channel soon of a full rebuild of my fork if you are interested

Question mine didn't have a foam ring...it has a rubber ring underneath the dust wiper...so what's the difference here? Also they seem seized or unmovable...any idea? Thanks

Can this same procedure be done to a Dart 3 ? Or it's not worth it ,since it's an entry level fork ?

Not sure about the Dart. If I know correctly dart is a lot less complex fork. The procedure is not the same.

so at which point did you put recommended 193ml oil to damper upper tube?

ciechanowsky my Lyrik manual only called for 10ml of 0W-30 in each lower tube.

Hi! nice videos.. i have a 2012 Lyrik RC2 DH solo air.. and when i put it upside down and then rapidly back in the normal position sounds like a something plastic its moving with the oil in the damper side.. its that normal? regards!

You will not want to put oil on foam rings before installing dust seals. The pressure in lowers will throw seals out because of oil between lowers metal and dust seals out. Most likely, you will not be able to install seals by hands. You'll have to psess too hard. A special tool is needed Anyway, 15wt (old recomendations) are not as good as Maxima Plush Dynamic Lube Lite (new recomendations by RS for lowers) Ok, seals shold be greased with SRAM Butter
