Impressive recovery with the bulldozer. I appreciate your knowledge of mechanical leverage instead of brute strength destroying stuff like you can see on other KZbin channels.

Dude, I love your videos! I'm a huge fan of Matt's Off-road. You are definitely different in your approach, but I understand because the soil/climate/terrain there is so different. Keep posting.

Mr Matt Nice trick with the blade. I will have to rember that. Awesome recovery. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.

Yes sir, we have done that a few times in the past, we have also used the tracks to help pull before But typically the tracks are under so blade is easier but chains to the tracks work better (if tracks move)

That mechanical advantage on that 5 part winch lead, man i never would have thought that would move that dozer at all, much less sunk and suctioned in the mud

Interesting to think about how all the pulling stress gets distributed to each winch line attachment point. Very cool!

The purpose of throwing the jacket over the line is to act as a deadener and prevent snapback should the line part. IMO, it would be more efficient placed more towards the mid point of the line. If you ever experienced a nylon towing hawser parting you'll understand. It'll take a leg (or head) off.

Don't over heat the winch motor. Mine is a 2003 Warn 9.5ti I bought it new. It has a LED light on the controller and flashes when it gets too hot. It also came with 125 feet of line and the winch still works great. I plan on installing it on my gladiator.

Would be great if their was a liquid cooled winch motor housing that could get you much longer load pull times, could use your jeep cooling fan to remove the heat since your engine is running anyway.

If you run a snatch block on your first line, it would double the pull on the rest of your lines effectively making this setup a 10:1. But you would probably start snapping lines.

Lesson of unsticking track vehicle’s . If you stop the track from rotating the track vehicle will walk inside the track and remove itself . The tracks have to be anchored to a very solid object.

Your winch and cable must be pretty heavy duty plus hold all of that cable. Your knowledge is the only reason a jeep could pull 33,000 pounds out when the tracks were out of sight. Makes you wonder how he was able to get that far into that soft ground before getting buried.
