A friend and I were there last November. What a great area, we overnighted in Alpine TX (Missed Marfa) and road North for a day trip to Ft Davis, the Davis Mountains, and the McDonald Observatory. If you get a chance it's well worth the trip. Next day on to Terlingua via Presidio to ride the roller coaster highway 170, wasn't that a treat? I some areas I felt that Big Bend State Park was more scenic than the National Park. Regardless, the area as you're pointing out has its own ambiance so different than many other National Parks, mostly because of its isolation. I hope it remains the national treasure it currently is. Really enjoy your channel, I'm certain your upcoming travels will give me great ideas for more epic rides.

Great video! Your'e in one of the last great, isolated place in America. If you get a chance, you should travel down the River Road going west from Rio Grande Village. There's an abandoned Mercury mine out there called Mariscal Mine. It's one of the more haunting and beautiful places I've ever been. Climb to the top of Mariscal Mountain there and you can see for miles and miles in every direction. It's not to be missed. There are old houses there that make for great photography. I'm not sure what it is about that place, but it has some kind of magic to it. There's a campground out there called Fresno. In my opinion, the best campsites in the whole park are in Pine Canyon and Juniper Canyon; they're back country sites without water or toilet but you can't beat the solitude. You can also hike up Juniper and Pine Canyon. Look out for mountain lions! ;)

I caught your first vlog of the BB trip and looked forward to this one. AND the next. The night skies out there are incredible. As can the weather be. I wasn't near as enthralled with Marfa as I thought I'd be, given the hype. Too hipsterish for me. But it does help bring much needed cash into the area so my personal whims gotta take a back seat. It’s all your fault! No one to blame but you! You’ve cost me thousands of dollars! That’s right, you inspired me to get back into motorcycling after a 45 year hiatus. Just yesterday I purchased a mint 2009 BMW K1300GT with just 27,000 miles on it, with all service reports, and ready to ride. Saddle bags and top trunk all wrapped into one neat package. Chose the pure touring bike as at 66 years of age I don’t think, at least at this time, I’m up for off road work. Maybe there will be an R1200GS in the future. First trip is going to be Chicago to Palm Springs to celebrate my mother’s 99th birthday. Thanks a lot! 😉
