S1 - Ep 23.2 - Spending the night at Die Damhuis!

So we finally arrived and were going to be spending the night at Die Damhuis. What an extraordinary place! The wooden house was built on the water, overlooking the lake and all the birdlife. There were Egyptian Geese with seven ducklings and a pair of Red-knobbed Coots with two chicks which made our stay really amazing. We had a wonderful time and we're so happy to share it with you. #dustbugs #travel #southafrica #adventure

This Damhuis is brilliant! What a pleasure I'm sure to have stayed there. And the view from the loo👌 difficult to concentrate I'm sure 🤣 Loved the inside of the house. So cool to see the whole spot. Thank you for sharing.

I have already begun my second viewing of your older videos 😁 Talk about an addiction! I’ve said it before, but am repeating it again - your Channel is so good for my soul! It’s hard to describe the effect each of these journeys has on me. The Lakehouse (Damhuis) absolutely needs to be revisited! The perfrct setting to simply be at peace with oneself, ones surroundings and with life. True tranquilty! And you two are perfect companions for those of us who come along for the experience 💕🙏🏻😊

We very much appreciate your support of our channel and that you enjoy travelling with us. 😊 When we started on this journey, we decided that we will not visit any place twice until we've at least covered all nine provinces which is our goal eventually. But when we talk about Die Damhuis, we falter on this decision a little. We often say that is the one place where we could just go and chill for a week. Our short time in that tiny house on the water will stay with us forever. We could literally sit on that deck for days on end and never tire of the beauty and sounds that surround us. If ever possible for you, you should definitely visit this area. 🤩🚗
