One suggestion i can give you to be a better welder. pay attention to the "PUDDLE" if the steel doesnt look liquid and isnt that "certain color" its not hot enough. alot of welders either dont run hot enough welds, or they push through too fast. let the metal do the work ! (some of those 1/8" welds looked cold to me, if they look bubbly boogery the welds are cold!) i did think that 1/4" stuff looked better but the thicker stuff is easier and more forgiving. do some buttwelds so you can look at the bottom to see if your welds are penetrating. also you should of cut the edges down on that angle iron so its a bit knife-edged. it makes the welds penetrate easier

also mig dosent like to be welded in overher head position unless your in short circuit setting, witch is anything between 14v-17v and 100-200 WFS

You don't have to stomp the spray can to get more pressure just put it can in something with almost hot water and it will have more pressure to get all the paint out almost like a nose bottle

As a fabricator myself your welds are getting there bud. An it all comes in time and many kms of wire.

And get yourself a bevel square. And you'll find the angle every time to copy.

When welding vertical, start at the top and go down, lead the puddle. It will give you a cleaner bead. Yes you're doing structural welding but you're not lifting 10,000 lb with it lol. Definitely practice more grab some scrap iron and get to glueing

Your surely getting better,when welding you should find out the best amp and wire speed setting, grab some scrap and test it, also you gotta find your sweet spot for your gas. Once you get used to that you will end up loving it more #DBG
