I actually sold those back then, and yes I knew they were special when they came off the trailer! To this day I have a guy I sold a 7 up fox convertible call me to thank me. I told him with 12 miles on it to put it in the garage and not drive it and he listened. He still has it to this day 25 years plus later.

I’ve owned 3 SN95s (1 New Edge) and 2 S197s. Can’t argue with the power coming straight from the factory with a Coyote but you also can’t deny the extreme potential of a 302 Windsor or first gen Modular that the SN95s had

What he said about which one you like is spot on; it really comes down to which car you drove fast first. True Mustang enthusiasts will appreciate all of them. My first Mustang was a 93 5.0 notchback red with 5 speed. I loved that car, but I always wanted a Cobra so when it was hit for the second time by some moron, I traded it in on a Crytal white 95 Cobra. Then I went to a 96 laser red Cobra, then a 97 black convertible Cobra and now I have 2 Mystic Cobras that I will never sell. I think the S197s are awesome and they're obviously much faster, but they just don't make my heart go pitter pat like when I drive mine and hear that engine roaring. All the best to the S197 fans, they're awesome cars, but my favorite is the SN 95s. Great video.

I love my 96 Sn95 cobra. My wife actually drives it daily to work. Trying to keep the mileage down as much as possible thou it only has 17k.
@UmmYeahOk2 жыл бұрын
These cars are meant to be driven. 195k miles on mine. It sounds like your wife needs her own mustang if you want to keep yours a museum piece. But I will tell you, I’ve seen 94 cobra pace cars so mint, they were still in the plastic as delivered, living their entire lives in a humidity free bubble, and going for less than it’s original MSRP at auction when adjusted for inflation.
@stephencarbajal56572 жыл бұрын
@@UmmYeahOk the Cobra is hers and she daily it's pending weather 95 and 96 don't have the same engine the modular V8's I've seen with 400k on them they run. @@stephencarbajal5657 if it’s her car then let her have fun with it. The 5.0s will run forever because you’re getting the same engine Ford’s used since the 60s. The 3.8 on the other hand was new tech and would blow head gaskets. Every car has it’s own faults, and even the 4.6 isn’t immune. 400k miles without a rebuild? Even if true, what are the odds that either of you will see that? My mustang rolled 100k in 2001. It’s 2022, and I still haven’t made it to 200k. Currently at 195k. I don’t drive it as much as I did in the 90s-00s, so it may not even reach 200k next year. But still, it’s been well over 20 years and I haven’t put 100k on it, so I don’t think she will in the first her decade of ownership.

Change all the fluids (oil, coolant, gas). Check all the rubber (tires, bushing, hoses, belts, etc). Replace the battery. Get that car on the road! How old/decrepit are you? Mustang shouldn’t be too difficult to get in and out of. Maybe different seats? Try v6 cloth, or something else. Personal maintenance you can outsource if that’s the real reason. Finally someone else who doesn't love the coyotes as sound, I absolutely hate it and It hasn't been a popular opinion. I love the deep rumble and bark of the old school 5.0 but the coyote has this high pitched raspy sound that sounds like it has trumpets for exhaust tips. Yeah it's a more modern racy sound but for a " muscle car" it sounds off to me. I can say if the exhaust is loud but has some muffling they don't sound that bad but when they have little sound suppression like slp loudmouths they sound terrible. And I do agree even tho not quite as good the 4.6 2&4v sound pretty damn good. There's a cobra in my area not sure if it's a terminator or not but it's at least a cobra, it does have the 03/04 front bumper but that means nothing absolute but it sounds mean but more performance than my 95 but my 95 sounds sexy and pretty rank even tho it's still bone stock except for the exhaust having all 4 cats gutted and a muffler deleat, it's pretty damn loud but not obnoxious 215 net hp and 2.25" pipe doesn't make crazy noise. I am going to build a custom 2.5" exhaust with an X pipe and even if the engine is still stock (hopefully not) at the point I'll prob need some kind of muffler. I'm on the fence on what to do with the engine it is a daily so I may just put on my explorer intake I have port the hell out of the E7s and install a nice cam, even tho people are like ahhh be a turd I think it'll run pretty strong way better than a stock HO and those go decent, should be up in the 250 net HP 300hp gross that's a bit over a 95 cobra, And HOs feel lively stock just not very fast, they do make crazy TQ for a 3" stroke engine. 3 to 3500rpm they have some really nice pull, kinda peter off around 4500+ rpm tho imo.

The 4.0L sucks because it's a "truck motor"? Newsflash, some of the greatest Mustangs ever borrowed their engines from trucks. 4.0L's make more power than previous generation's V8's, get better MPG's, and handle better thanks to the S197 chassis and light weight motor. Probably the most undervalued Mustang out there imho.
