Excellent. One of my top 10. Maybe, possibly you could have an in depth look at the Woodfall Film production company. Made amazing British films in the late 50's and early 60's.

I became an Albert Finney fan when I was about 14 and saw "Tom Jones" in the theater. (My friend and I were underage but we brazened our way in.) I saw films he did after that, but I'd never seen this one - until I came across it on TV when I was in my 20s. (It was the full film, not a chopped up version.) I was transfixed! I couldn't look away whenever he was on screen, which was most of the time. Even though he's gone now, he remains my favorite actor to this day.

Excellent analysis. I would give a shout out to The Angry Silence'. Not really an 'angry young man' film but is great social realism movie.
