Any damage done to his car was because he's driving like a tool, and probably drinking while driving wasn't a great idea.

It's crazy how things can change. Arron the Aussie legend turned out to be a violent drunk that assaulted this guy and drove off and left him in the middle of nowhere with no food or water. Arron(AH) came back a day later. By then bike guy(BG) had started his own rescue and was in contact with police by Sat Phone. And they said to go back with(AH). That would of been the most awkward trip EVER. When they got back to Perth AH got aggressive again and the police had to get involved. WOW! WHAT AN ASS HOLE (AH).

Number one red flag is drink driving. Sure, some people can responsibly have one beer on the road, one beer impairs your judgement and drinking while driving suggests or indicates he is not responsible when it comes to the road. Constant heavy alchohol use maybe be another red flag (Alcoholics can turn violent or unpredictable on certain drinks). If this is the guy that assaulted you, you may want to look for red flags in the future. It's a learning experience. :)

Let's see. Two friends, alone, in a hot(?) car on dusty roads for several days on a rescue mission for one's motorcycle. That is enough to strain a friendship. If unfortunate surprises also occur, such as bad weather causing rough road conditions, it will bring out the worst in a person. Now, add that their friendship is new with a likely language barrier and frames of reference that may differ. I am not defending bad behavior or drunk driving and certainly not violence but I would like to hear Aaron's story about the incident.
