She is so caring and sweet natured. There are so many orphaned gorilla kids in Africa. She’s a very pretty lady and looks younger then 34😉I hope the zoo can find a compatible friend for her and Mimita!👏🏽🫶🏽

@@ZoosForConservation I too would like to thank you for this video. I thought I was the only silly one that gave the gorillas in the videos having conversations. I must admit that this was probably one of the saddest things I've ever seen. She is so lonely that she had to dig up an earthworm to spend time with her. She even tried to put him on her head when she was climbing down, as though it was a baby gorilla that could hang on. I hope that Rola finds a place into a troop/family.

All this makes me sad! 18:05 that she finds a worm and puts it on her head as if it were special. Like a baby. Happy that this fulfills her, sad that something so little makes her happy. My heart breaks.

I totally understand. Yes. She may see a worm as her child. Humans who took care of her in her early childhood had no clue what gorillas are....Humans are guilty. I feel very sorry for Rola, but at the same time we want her to have a peaceful happy life. Thank you for your thoughtful comment.

Rola isn't completely alone She can see Monta through a door outside that seperates their enclosures. There is also you who visits her often for filming. :) And of course her little earthworms. :D I also imagine her being good friend with Toto from the Haoko family who lives in Ueno Zoo.

She needs a friend, there are many animals that can live quite comfortably with a gorilla, I don't know why the zoo doesn't add a little enrichment to her life.

@@MySkinnydip I'm not sure if they have ever put small animals to her enclosure, but what I've heard was that the zoo used to give her hay like they do to Monta. Rola was eating hay to the extent that it might harm her health.

@@ZoosForConservation I doubt if she'd eat an animal but small animals share gorilla habitats at zoos in Europe, usually monkeys. But the thing is, how far would the zoo be prepared to go for the wellbeing of one gorilla.....not too far I'd imagine.

Karinとゴリラ Remember CoCo She had a cat for her pet. She didn’t eat cat. Anyway Right now she is living solo life But her previous life were not solo life at all. Thank you Karin (video editor) You suggested video which zoo officials was kepting. I saw those video that zoo keeper explained her life with male gorilla.. Zoo keeper tried let her mate with Several different male again and again. But it never succeeded. It was intresting story (her history) So now I feel better that she wasn’t Alone in zoo . Just recently…🤔💜🙏

Acho a situação do Monta e da Rola muito triste, não é Possível que não tenha outra solução, eles estão sozinhos, não merecem isso, não cometeram nenhum crime, esses animais vivem com tropas, eu sei que ela tem dificuldade de conviver com Silverbacks, mas tem que haver um motivo, e a mesma coisa com o Monta, a solução mais fácil e barata foi isolar, é muito cruel.

ローラちゃんは、ラクテンチで産まれて人工飼育で育ったそうですね。ラクテンチは、私が小さい頃(半世紀前🤭)に家族旅行で行ってた所で親近感が有ります。ゴリラは、知能が高いので育った環境が違うと馴染めなくなってしまったのでしょうね。ゴリラファミリーの動画は投稿が多いのでよく観ますが、ローラちゃんの様子が観れて良かったです🤗

ひまわりさん、コメントありがとうございます。ローラが生まれたラクテンチは小さい頃に思い出のある場所なんですね❤️私もローラが東武動物公園にいたころに何度か子供の頃行ってるのですが、ゴリラの記憶がないんです😓 ほんとにそうですよね。ゴリラは知能が高い動物なだけに、幼少期にゴリラとして育てられないと大人になって苦労しますよね。ご視聴いただきありがとうございました。
