Kaptain, just got your book on Kindle and have tried HOP on a 70s back cover to nice white results. Pulled a little red off a front cover, though. No problem all trial and error in this hobby! Question on the light box. Why the need for the lid? I know you mention clips to hold lid up a tad due to heat dissipation so why do you need the lid? Thanks!

The clear lid is recommended so you can put the lights on top. But you don’t have to have a lid. As long as you have some way to hang the lights so they shine down from above.

No. It’s a natural means of transferring stains. It’s the same materials used in the paper pulp manufacturing process.

@@kaptainmyke appreciate your reply. I’ve bought the stuff I need to get started but I have a few books that could really benefit from the whiting process. Trying to get your books on kindle but my phone hates me. Appreciate everything you do for the hobby
