$3400 is the best I can ever seeing you get down to a month. Wow. That's 40, 800 a year bare minimum to survive.

That is what data is for but damn the pay off is priceless. Its the lifestyle not the pay off. I would much rather be seeing your views that wasting away in a cubicle.

I couldn't agree more! I wasn't designed to be in a cubicle. Reminds me of a quote on the Shawshank Redemption - I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. - Morgan Freeman from Shawshank Redemption

Good breakdown. Thanks. I'm flirting with doing this lifestyle part-time possibly in near future. No pen on paper but just figured $3500 - $4000 per month to be comfortable. Anyways, I missed it or never saw, do you have any type of refrigeration for food besides ice-chest and ice? (DC or AC Fridge) (or electric cooler) If so, does your solar easily handle it? Thoughts? I have crazy ideas about ice machine in my toy hauler. Say an industrial type, 100# - 120# capacity. Could run it for 24 hours, make ice, fill multiple ice chest then turn off for next three days. Repeat.

Oh, don't even get me started on ice machines-I'm an ice addict! I always fill my cup to the brim with ice before adding any drink, lol. Thanks for the compliment. I do have a Dometic fridge, but the few times I've used it, it drew a lot of power from my solar system. It's a power/propane fridge, and one thing I haven't tested yet is how long it lasts on a tank of propane. I really need to do that. I've also been thinking about getting an electric cooler.

@@doggonenomads Gotcha. I have 3-way Dometic Fridge in my truck camper now. It's pretty small and is the absorption type fridge. It gets "alot" of bad rap on YT, FB & camping forums. But I have had great luck. I have run the fridge on propane for 8 days straight using about 3/4 of a 20lb propane tank. During this time the only other propane usage was the cooktop for breakfast twice. Mopeka Pro is a bluetooth propane sensor that you can get and check propane levels right off your phone, pretty accurate too.

@@ChesapeakeBayProductions I have a propane sensor for two of my propane tanks but haven't installed it yet. They are bluetooth I think and goes under the tank so there isn't really any installation? I will have to check again. Dang 8 days is a long time. I have 2 40lb and 2 20lb tanks so I think I need to hook them up and do a test. I appreciate the information!
