Welcome to Kansas! I moved from Rochester, NY to Wichita, KS back in 1989 in order to start my engineering career at Cessna aircraft. One thing I love about this place is that t he milder weather and relative lack of road salt allows old cars and trucks to last a lot longer than they do in the great white north. Back when I moved here I was flabergasted to see sedans and station wagons from the 1970s and earlier. The only way cars got to be that old in Rochester was if the owner bought a beater to drive between October and April so that those cars were usually sporty cars.

You know, I do have an idea for the future. Why not a honda quiet generator? THE WHOLE THING. It is designed to respond to an electric load so no controller needed, just an electronic accelerator pedal. You should be able to figure out some way to use the hybrid electric motor and make a cable that plugs into the generator, etc. Basically a road locomotive. If you have a used hybrid battery, that would be even better because then you can plug the charger into the generator and let it power the motor! I bet it will be slow though, but maybe if it works you can get a pancake hybrid motor and battery out of a slightly newer Honda.

@@kansasrose2909 I think some problems that come up are shown to have an "easy" fix and yet it looks like it's not so easy. One complexity I found was mating the original Honda transmission to basically a lawnmower engine. That is not an easy task to accomplish yet it look so easy and I thought "...well, yeah that makes sense." Not so much if you have little experience in fabrication. Plus, it looks like a lot of math and geometry go into this series for the fabrication. BTW, where in KS are you? We should get a coffee sometime!
