S2000 9 Second Wheelie 9.5@147 RSP S2K 1/4 Mile Drag Pass 9.548@147.23 REAL STREET PERFORMANCE

We took the RSP Stock Block S2K out to test the AEM Traction/Launch Control on the new tires. After a couple passes of adding power to the launch we were able to cut back to back 9.7@144's followed by a 9.5@147. Best 60' of the day was a 1.40
Here is the breakdown of the slip: 60': 1.403 - 330': 4.049 - 1/8th mi: 6.168@118mph - 1000': 8.013 - 1/4mi 9.548@147.23
Boost is different in every gear but the most it saw was 31psi. The most the car has made is 713hp on our dynojet.
Full Weight + Cage. Original Un-Opened Engine, head has never even been off the block. Just took the valve cover off to do cams + Springs + Retainers so we can rev higher. Turbo is a Precision 6766, which we have in stock.

absolutely not. The engine in this car during the video is a bone stock never-opened f20c. The only thing changed was that we added valvesprings to avoid valve float at 10k rpm, and cams to avoid the power dropping off at high rpm. both mods were done by just removing the valve cover. head stayed on the car. the car had stock original headgasket held between stock original head and block with stock original headstuds, stock original pistons rods and bearings.

the question is "how long can it handle it" ... the engine finally leaked some stuff out of it. But it didnt break any parts it just popped a freeze plug out of the head from all the cylinder pressure. the engine seems to be pretty well built from the factory.

yes absolutely, stock engine, full leather interior, air conditioning, power steering, nothing has been removed from it to decrease its streetability. It is very much a street car.

@ImAman555 we arent sure how it does it either. But it does. We are using an AEM Series2 EMS, so we set the rev limiter at whatever we want. I think the BC Stg 2 Cams, Ferrea Springs/Retainers, and the Turbo help it continue to make power up there though. and yes it really is bone stock internals, the engine has never been apart, oil pan never even came off, we tapped for the oil return line with the pan on the car using a special bit.

@redgevtec engine has never been apart, stock original head bolts holding the stock original headgasket between the head and the block with stock original pistons and rods...head has never been off the engine.

the aem does control flat shift, but we are shifting over 10k so you have to be conscious of the transmission flat shifting. We do flat shift it though. and yes 700hp on the original up-opened engine, stock pistons, stock headgasket, stock rods, stock everything. just cams, springs and retainers.

@psychogsx we've never ran it at this power level with street tires before, but it went 10.2@144 before on street tires. We will take it again on street tires after this weekend's event and see what it does now. I would consider it pretty reliable as its been through countless dyno pulls, several track passes, and a lot of street driving. Still drives really well behaved because it is a stock engine, so you arent dealing with lower compression off boost or anything.

money is usually what gets people in trouble. Blowing money throwing tons of parts at a car that it doesnt actually need often cause more harm than good. Changing too many parts of a setup at the same time usually ends up just slowing a car down. This car was a good example of what could be done by only upgrading what needed to be upgraded, intelligently modding the car, and going 1 step at a time.

Ok, so 8 years ago your gear box was: - [Mark IV?] supra 6spd transmission and an 03 cobra IRS 8.8" rear diff. What's the state of the car now? Could you give us a break down on what attracted you to the S2000 [god level HP/~2950 curb weight?]? I have a 2001 AP1 w/60K with an clutchmasters FX300 clutch & clutchmasters flywheel & BERK high flow catalytic converter. I also have my Dad's 1993 BMW 850 completely stock. No idea what the future holds for my S2000 in terms of horsepower gains but right now my wife has made it clear it is a kids and house discussion :-D I am thinking after valve adjustment a kraftwerks supercharger. That would be [just] sub-12 second which is faster than anything I deserve. You are obviously a king of your craft and I really appreciate you sharing your content. I wish your company the best of luck. Also, most F20 internals are forged, what would you recommend if the desired goal is 330-400 WHP? Thank you and best of luck. You are killing it!
