S2000 Single Exhaust - 34 lbs weight saving- FULL TRACK Car

This S2000 spends all it's time on the race track.
A 400whp Stock Engine S2000 has to be right to run on the race track, it not just a couple of gears and done, its over and over.
The focus was to save some weight, we built a custom single Titanium exhaust that removed 34 lbs off the car. The customer supplied a light weight battery that save around 15lbs too.
Then with a little tweaking some more power was found.

Love this channel, thank you for all the information and entertainment over the years. I have a question Jon, do you know why this s2000 has black soot on the bumper from the exhaust? I have the same issue on my itr, good compression #s and valve timing etc is all within spec. Any light you could shed on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I noticed hes running the axle spacers. Do you think these are really necessary for someone who streets their car?

The axle spacers are usually for lowered cars that have already caused axle wear. It positions the tripod ( inside the axle) in a different area. It’s not a fix as such, it’s a fix basically extending the life of a an already worn axle.
