with all this new stuff am of the realization it will require more frames and foundation.

I bought exactly the same metal entrances for my bait hives. I also received the tiny version. Last year I used just lemon grass oil and some wax foundation. It worked fine. This year I'll also add some old comb. I don't worry about filling bait hives with all the required frames. 2 or 3 is fine. I collect the swarms long before they draw out that much comb, then put them into a standard hive box.

Good lookin dogs. In the wild sometimes comb is exposed. Let them ride and slot next one. Use lemon grass oil and some wax foundation from dead out in storm trap. Best I can tell 8-10 feet up.

All my swarms found locations under things. They showed up in a tree higher up then settled under the house within a day.

What is a storm trap ? Do you mean swarm ? Never heard of anything trying to catch the weather? 🤔
