Do you ever see wipe marks left over after you clean a book? I used a dry magic eraser to gently wipe a white Bronze Age cover and I noticed when I was done there were wipe marks on the book that I can only see in a certain angle and light. I don't know if I rubbed off some of the gloss or if I left some of the residue on the book. How can I get rid of it?

Erasure marks are caused by using an eraser too firmly across surface of book during dry cleaning. You can try mitigating the damage by using a cotton round or facial tissue in light circular swirls, clockwise and counterclockwise back and forth very gently to buff it out. In most cases the damage is permanent- always practice your erasing technique on cheap dollar bin books by using a very light limp wrist. Let the weight of the pencil or eraser tool do most of the work for you 👍🏻
