My uncle was on the HMAS Sydney in 1951 in the Korean War. This participation is not well known and should be. The ship left Korean waters in 1952 returning to Australia via Japan. My uncle purchased a lot of interesting souvenirs and great toys...including a submarine that would submerge! and cars that had lights that worked..! Still fresh in my memory..
