We had to #emergency start the #skidoo, and we rolled another one over, at least once. Join us on part two of our multi day snowmobile winter camping adventure in Atlin BC, Canada.

In today's video we Wake up in the middle of nowhere, pack up camp and heat out to continue our cross country snowmobile camping trip. We start by having to cross the O'donnel river, as Philippe crosses the river with his snowmobile the ice breaks. Justin loses his confidence and asks his dad to cross the river with his snowmachine instead. No problem for Leandra, and not for Scooby the dog either!
Justin's starter rope is frayed to the point of almost breaking, so instead of starting the snowmobile normally, we have to emergency start the snowmobile using a string.
We then connect with a network of historic mining roads as the snow starts falling heavily. We cross Wilson creek, and take a right to connect back to yet another network of trails that can bring us toward Spruce creek and ultimately back home.
The trails have not been visited yet, so Philippe is breaking the trail with his Skandic Superwide Skidoo, that's made for work like this. He leaves the trailboggan toboggan behind, and breaks the trail for a while, comes back, and then we all go together as a family.
We camp somewhere among the spruce and subalpine fur, and wake to a beautiful sunrise in the remote BC backcountry. After some repairs in the morning, we make our way across the pass and back to our home.
We are winter camping in the snow, in the midst of the Yukon/BC winter. Leaving from our home in the town of Atlin, located in the remote northwestern corner of British Columbia, on the border with the Yukon and Alaska. While we normally do our winter camping in wall tents / hot tent camping setups during our winter trips, we wanted to introduce our son Justin to cold camping in the snow, while at the same time trying out our new hilleberg Nallo 3gt tent. We are avid snowmobile tourers.
