Man, this really puts it into perspective for me. That Macaque was really lent a bad hand in life and I honestly feel so sorry for him. What I mean to say is that Wukong as also hurts people (in the true story of Journey to the West and also Monkie Kid though of course in Monkie Kid is much less so) but despite everything Wukong has done, he's still surrounded by friends and fame. Everybody loves him, even if he doesn't fully appreciate what he's got. But Macaque was originally such a nice person. He was always advising Wukong against all the bad decisions but was always ignored. He was an underappreciated friend. Wukong felt annoyed at being imprisoned and took it out on Mac who was only there to help him. And for reasons unknown, Macaque was killed by Wukong. (It couldn't have been during the time when Azure and the others were killed, that much we know). I can't even imagine by terrible and painful it must have been to be betrayed by someone you looked up to and thought of as a friend. Then Macaque is reduced to being a drifter all alone and became so twisted after being revived that he became the bad guy. And honestly... even though I DO NOT justify his bullying of MK and his friends... I can't exactly blame him either... he isn't right at all, I can't forgive him, but I feel for him. And he even redeemed himself above and beyond because he WAS a good person and MK knew that I AM SO GLAD that MK brought that out of him and hopefully now that he is a good guy, he can have a happy ending of his own... and hopefully his own friends and family? I'd love that. I'm on your side, Mac boy

I just think it's so unfair that Macaque is the one to be alone while Wukong never seems to have a bad day, while he seems to be the reason why others have a bad day. As for Mac, he was lost and confused and sometimes I feel like he all need someone to believe in us and tell me the good we've forgotten and I am so glad that MK was there for Macaque, even though Macaque had hurt him before. MK is so kind and it really helped him save the world

@@Evan-ithc I completely respect your opinion about this. Everyone has different perspectives and that's ok. However, if I may interject, Tang Sanzang was not a person who would force Wukong to kill somebody. I have read the original Journey to the West and Tang is a lot of things, gullible, arrogant and rude but he would never force Wukong to murder. Whenever the Binding Spell was used, it was done to force Wukong to help people (and I agree that is messed up indeed) or punish him for being violent (and sometimes this was misused as well). But Tang never wanted Wukong to kill, he always encouraged against it. He wasn't evil. Stupid maybe but never evil. And Monkie Kid's version of Tang is slightly different. He seems more wise and smart. I doubt that he'd want Wukong to kill an old friend but let's see what happens! I'm sure it's gonna be good. Also in Journey to the West, the Evil Macaque was *always* evil and had never met Wukong before and hence was quickly killed by Wukong and rightly so.. but this Macaque is different. So let's see.

I'm not usually a huge fan of these kinda edits cause, idk, I prefer intense edits with typography and motion graphics, but the simplicity of this is extremely effective - great music choice that loops seamlessly (seriously, great job with the audio editing at the start and ending, it's perfect) and clip choices that flow excellently and fits the lyrics.
