Mia is going places for sure. I searched for her at Spotify without finding her. Very interesting to get her view on how music are made. And how singing may just create itself on the spot. In the moment. The connection to the song is important. I think Angelina was born with this connection to any song or whatever she is listening to. Great podcast as always. Hey Alan, Pontus, double hey cheerio @tamia.lb2, dear Mia, so glad this came to life, great episode of the Podcast. I'm happy to be playing a humble role in making this event happen by first discovering Mia's talent through listening to some of her covers of songs by RAYE (who, together with Angelina, Mon Laferte, Diana Ankudinova and some more is counting among my top 10 female artists right now) and then introducing Mia to AJ and ask her if she would try to do a cover. I'm seeing a lot of similarities in RAYE's and AJ's approach to music (also a few differences...) and as Mia was doing exceptionally well on RAYE's songs which are demanding and hard to tackle I thought she might a) enjoy AJ's art as well and b) be actually capable of nailing an AJ song and doing it justice, also giving it her own spin which is what artists do, I was really curios to hear the outcome! And obviously I'm not the only one who found it quite convincing... At this point I want to say that in their majority the angels are a great bunch of folks and I want to thank everyone for their support, not only for AJ, but for the really kind and supportive and respectful feedback to Mia (seems that's what she got for the bigger part...)! Go check her original songs as well, she's just about to release an album, I've heard a few songs and those were very promising and made me look forward to the whole thing! Some years ago you had asked me if I'd like to get on the podcast, I declined the generous offer, I am camera and microphone shy and prefer to communicate in written language. Now this feels a little bit as if I finally got on the podcast all the same, played over the rail, invisibly and inaudibly - and honestly Mia as my messenger medium (the theme for my podcast episode would have been the different mindsets of die hard exclusive angels vs. broad spectrum music and vocal lovers...) did far better than I ever could have done, so I'm just happy about the occasion, my instinct and the great things which unfolded from that little spark...
