Love the format. Really great chat and lots of laughs..... Catholic life is joyful even through the stresses and strains of the everyday.

Quality film maker, set design, immortal souls coming into and out of scene, substantial dialogue, everything is *for* things that will last. Full of life.

I enjoyed that and I understand how much easier much have been to make it this way. But please don't abandon the documentary format. I love that as well. :)

Really interesting episode! Would you be able to share the link for the Williams post on Lenten fasting? I would be very interested in reading about old Catholic practices!

I read in the Telegraph just last week a very interesting article: that for every 50 pensioners in the UK, there are 100 people working at the moment, so taxes have to keep going up to pay for this as the situation worsens. The article continued that by 2030 it is estimated that there will be 70 pensioners for every 100 workers. At some point, something is going to have to "give". The article looked at our European neighbours, and noted that for Germany in particular, the pension system is already close to collapse!

Successful demographics/society and the Catholic world view is the love story evil baddies have been doing everything to prevent from meeting each other.

I am very much green and an environmentalist. That said, what the world is facing right now is a pollution and resource distribution problems rather than overpopulation. Our environment would look vastly difference if we were making smart choices with our carbon footprints for example. And as far as the millions if not billions in poverty globally, again there is enough wealth and resources, it is just controlled by a small portion of the overall population. I am a mom to 6 and I do not eat animals or animal products, I have solar panels and although we are by no means wealthy, I volunteer time and money to our community. The number of children are NOT the problem. The “Protestant work ethic” and “rugged individualism” is truly a scourge upon us over here in the US. Every time I hear M say it takes a village, I smile and nod. In the US a large majority of people think that is a horrifying statement and will take one to task over it. It’s every man or woman for himself here in about half the people I have known in the US. Your family and guests give me hope for the future ❤🙏🏻

Did Hillary Clinton tarnish the village phrase? I remember her making a thing of it a few years back. Agree about US individualism. I would sight the end of Saving Private Ryan as the fallen US outlook, 'Earn this'. It's not wrong but missing so much. The ending of Dunkirk, by European contrast, Catholic history far more apparent. All that said Protestant outlook on contraception has put all Western populations on their knees.
